Charlie's P.O.V.
"So, what's your favorite color?" Tyler asks.
"It used to be pink." I say, "But now it's black or blue."
He nods, "Why did it used to be pink?"
I pause hesitantly, "I went to Juvi."
"Really?" He asks.
I nod, "I was framed by my sister."
"Oh." He sighs.
"Sorry, let's talk about brighter subjects." I wave off.
"Okay, had any pets before?" He asks.
I shake my head, "Well, I used to have a cat."
"Oh, what happened?" He asks.
"She just ran away." I laugh.
"Oh, sorry." He chuckles.
"What about you?" I ask, "What's your favorite color?"
"Green." He says, biting a fry.
"Meh." I shrug.
I laugh as he fake pouts, "Why are you so nice?"
"I don't know." He shrugs.
"After my friend pushing you." I continue.
"You're worth it?" He says.
"Is that a question?" I ask.
"you are." He corrects, "He thinks it too."
"What?" I ask.
"That guy, he finds you worth it." He says.
"Cole?" I ask, he nods in answer.
"Oh, I mean we're friends but..." I trail off.
"I know this is our first date but... would you maybe want to... be my girlfriend?" He asks.
"I..." I freeze.
"It's okay, just think about it." He interrupts.
I nod, "Okay."
Cole's P.O.V.
I sit on Oliver's couch, going through social media.
"Hey." Oliver taps my foot.
"Hm?" I ask, looking up at him
"You okay?" He asks.
"Why wouldn't I be?" I ask.
"I don't know." He shrugs..
"What?" I ask, sitting forward.
"Nothing." He says.
"If it has to do with Charlie, tell me." I demand.
"Cat and I've been talking." He mentions, ignoring me.
"You like her." I say.
He shrugs, "Maybe."
"Right." I laugh.
The door bell rings, I stand and open the door to Chloe.
"Hi Cole bear!" She cheers.
"Don't call me that." I say, "What do you want?"
"I just thought I'd tell you Charlie is on a date." She says, then turns.
I clench my jaw and shut the door. It shouldn't bother me but it does. I fucking like her, god.
"With who?" I ask through my gritted teeth.
"Ta-Tyler." He looks at me,
I groan, "God!"
"He can't help, leave it be." He says.
"I can't sit here while he is all over her." I say.
"Dude, just admit you like her." He says.
"If I do, I'll know for sure and I can't have her." I say.
"I mean to her, she likes you an-"
"If she did, she wouldn't be going out with Mr. Perfect right now." I raise my voice.
"Dude, why don't you just take her?" He asks.
"I'm not good enough." I say.
"You're so cliche, ever bad boy guy thinks he's not good enough for the girl when, in reality you're all she needs." He says.
I look at him, genuinely scared he just said something that makes sense.
"Lock the doors." I say.
"Why?" He asks.
"I want to go beat the shit out of him." I admit.
"On it." He jumps up quickly.
