My mother didn't let me drive anymore, Claims that she can't trust me. Of course I call Cole, I didn't call one of my best friends though. Why?

Before I can answer my own thoughts, Cole pulls in front of me.

"Hey." I sigh.

"Hey, get on." He greets.

I do as he says, I wrap my arms around him gently and wait.

"We're going to be a little late." He says.

I shrug, "I don't care."

"You've changed." He laughs.

He has no idea.

When we get to school the hall are empty. We part ways to head to our classes, I walk in and my teacher stares.

"Ms. Miller, you're late." She says.

"I know," I say, sitting, "I'm not dumb."

"Why're you late?" She asks.

"It's none of your business." I say.

"Ms. Miller, don't speak to me that way." She scolds.

"I'm stating a fact." I say calmly, "You can continue the class."

She huffs before beginning to speak again. I feel a tap on my shoulder, when I turn Madi sits with a small smirk.

"Cole?" She asks.

"No." I sigh, "Lunch?"

She nods before focusing on her book again. There's a party being planned, it's the biggest one of the year. Everyone looks forward to it, except me. I used to but now I never want to go to a party again. Madi and Cat never missed it, they'd probably find some way to make me go.

It's lunch time now, I head to the cafeteria to meet them.

"Hey!" Cat cheers.

"Hey." I smile.

"Biggest party ever!" Madi nudges, "Come on."

I shake my head, "I don't think that's a great idea."

"What? I thought you guys made up?" Cat asks.

"We did but I need more time." I say.

"I'm proud of you." Madi says.

"Why?" I ask with a short laugh.

"You're not jumping at the forgiving square, you're taking your time." She explains.

I nod, "Thanks?"

They both laugh as we sit and begin to chat.

"If you change your mind." Cat starts, "We're here."

"Are you guys still going?" I ask.

They shake their heads, "Not if you're  not."

"No." I groan, "If you don't go because of me I'll feel the need to go."

"We'll be with you no matter your decision." Cat encourages.

"You guys are too good for me." I laugh.

"We know." Madi teases.

I roll my eyes with a laugh. At least school isn't a complete disaster. I still had plans of putting my sister in her place. Madi and Cat would help, I know it.
