Flint was walking in the vast hallways of Manor towards the direction of his room.
"Flint!" a voice called.
"Yes, Mother," He asked turning around to face the said person.
"How was the show? I couldn't be there because some important work came up."
"It was great." he smiled remembering his wonderful time with a certain blond.
"I am sure it was," she said in a neutral tone, "There is this thing that worries me about you, Flint."
"What is it, mother?"
"Your choice of friends," She paced around him, "it has been quite inappropriate."
"I don't know what you are talking about," Here it was, his one of most favorite sentence these days.
"Don't think I am a fool, Flint."
"I never said that, Mother."
"I know, but I am just concerned the Agreste are not good people son." it made Flint snort, the irony.
"I am not sure it's me you are trying to convince here, Mother" Lila glared at her son.
"You have no idea Flint that what you are getting yourself into by getting involved with the daughter of our enemy."
"correction Mother your enemy, not mine they never did anything to hurt me so I am not going to hold grudges against them on your behalf." he moved to leave.
"Not me, what about your father then?" he stopped dead on his tracks Lila smirked.
"We all know it was an accident Mother, he was not killed by Agreste it was your own mistake."
Lila crossed a few feet and spun her son around the hallways echoed with a piercing sound of a slap.
Lila had slapped her only son her face which was twisted in rage looked a little regretful after the deed was done but it was gone in a moment.
Flint was shocked his mother had slapped him right on his face he palmed his cheek where he was feeling the stinging sensation. but deep inside he kicked himself for saying such a thing he didn't blame his mother for the death of his father he had crossed the line by blaming her.
"don't you dare, Flint Joseph, blame me for his death!?" He was silent.
Lila walked out leaving Flint alone.
the black Kwami flew out of the pocket of his wielder.
"Flint I---"
"Not now, Plagg."
"I was going to say Chat Noir can go out to clear his head if he wants to." Flint smiled at his thoughtfulness.
"sure, Plagg."
"The show was awesome, Sara, I enjoyed it."
"well, that's the first time you enjoyed something related to fashion, Emma." her friend said over the phone.
"No, it's not."
"yes, it is."
"Whatever."
"You forget to mention, Emma, that certain teen model was also there."
"Flint? yeah, he was." Emma smiled.
"So, how was your time with him?"
"What do you mean my time with him?"
"you thought you can hide it from me, hmm?"
"I am not hiding anything, and who gave you this dumb idea," Emma asked, curiously.
"it's not just me, all tabloids are reciting about your and Flints love for each other."
"But that's not true at all."
"Emma, I am sending a link you should check it out yourself." the call ended there. after a moment Emma received a link from Sara.
Emma walked towards the balcony and clicked the link.
The title of the tabloid reads 'Flint Joseph and The daughter of Adrian Agreste: the secret love affair'.
"They should've been more creative with the title at least," she mumbled.
the title was followed by the picture of Emma and Flint which was taken at the show smiling at each other.
"don't they know anything about privacy," she shouted.
"Why are you shouting?" she tilted her head to face the notorious cat clawed hero.
"these cursed paparazzi and tabloids."
he walked and stood beside her trying to read from her phone.
"Well, that's not good." he said, "who is this handsome guy?"
"he is Flint Joseph my classmate and a teen model."
"right, and you are angry because,"
"who gave them the right to write such things about my life."
"What kind of things?"
"Me, having an affair with Flint Joseph."
"Well, that's new," he mumbled mostly to himself, "So, Emma why are you so pissed over this?" she looked at chat like he had grown a third cat ear on his head.
"I mean it's not realistic at all and if Flint read this he is going to faint from the humiliation." Chat shook his head, "Why you think that?"
"because you know he is famous and they probably don't even know my real name, to them I am the daughter of Adrian Agreste."
"you are not making any sense, Emma." he stopped her ramble. "tell me Emma do you like this guy?"
"Of course not Chat he is just a friend," can't believe she just friend-zoned me. he thought bitterly.
"So what's the problem then?"
"I just don't like them invading my privacy."
"can I ask you a question?"
"Of course chat."
"do you like someone?"
"what do you mean?"
"you know what I mean, Emma."
"Well, I am not sure," she blushed that was enough declaration.
"you do like someone." Chat stated.
"I just--- you know," she trailed off.
"So who is this guy?"
"I am not going to tell you." she tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
"is he your friend?"
"yeah kind of." she everted her eyes to the sky. "he has always been there for me, you know. he is a great guy and he is so kind." she blushed at feeling his gaze on her.
"sounds like a great guy." he smiled but mentally he was thinking of killing this guy who had stolen the heart of Emma.
"hmm, what about you?"
"I am just a stray little kitty." he shrugged.
"Oh, come on." she pouted, damn her pout.
he leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear.
"It's a secret."
