It was a rather cool morning at the start of the summer. Emma Agreste was standing at her balcony at six in the morning, it was quite unusual for someone like her.

The birds chirped gleefully on the nearby tree pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Emma, what are you thinking?" the red Kwami asked its wielder.

"I can't believe, it's been a year, and it's end of the school already."

"Are you not happy?"

"I am, now I can give more time to my superhero duties." Emma smiled.

"yes, Emma, and also you spend more time with your friends."

"I am not quite sure about that Tikki Jaden and Sara are leaving with their family on a month-long trip."

"Dont worry, Emma I am here to keep you company, and besides you got your mama and papa and Hugo and..." Tikki trailed off.

"Yeah, you are right Tikki."

"I am glad you think so Emma."

"let's take a quick breakfast and go outside its only six we still have time until everyone wakes up."

"Sure, Emma." the blond girl and the red Kwami crept into the kitchen as silently as they could.

Flint Joseph being the early riser, was tying his shoelaces to go out.

"Do I have to come with you?" the black Kwami stifled a yawn.

"Plagg, you know I am feeling quite generous today so you can stay home." Flint pulled the hoodie out of the closet.

"Aww, thanks, kid you should feel generous more often then." With that, Plagg fell asleep again.

Flint smiled amused at his tendency to fall asleep faster than you can say 'Nap'.

Flint shut down the door silently and entered the vast hallways, "Guess today I am all by myself then."

The red and black clawed superheroine jumped from rooftop to rooftop enjoying the morning breeze.

"I should do it more often," She smiled.

When she reached the park she walked towards her favorite bench just across the fountain. "Tikki spots off." Emma looked down and realized the severe mistake. She was still in her shorts and a t-shirt, she groaned.

"you should have reminded me, Tikki." the red Kwami looked apologetically at her.

"Whatever," She sat down and closed her eyes enjoying the silence the morning had to offer. they were few people who were present to appreciate the beauty of the dawn.

Moments passed as she sat there.

"I didn't know you were a morning person, Agreste Jr," She almost jumped out of her skin at the very familiar voice of her classmate.

Flint joseph was sitting beside her, looking rather smug.

"I didn't know you were either." she crossed her arms across her chest.

"I know good looks ran in our family like a water stream, but it does not hurt anyone to work out now and then." Emma glanced at him from the corner of her eye.

"I dont see any good looks, I think you meant ignorance,"

"Ahh, that was a low blow to my ego, Agreste Jr."

"I am glad that I am taking part in doing something good." She smirked. "While I am still amazed how can something so huge can fit inside the pea-size brain of yours."

"Everyone has their talents like yours is wearing pajamas to jog." He ran a hand through his hair and looked down at her BatMan shorts.

She followed his gaze when she realized what he was looking at. A pink hue tinted her cheeks as she pulled her shorts down by the hem to cover as much skin she could.

"Dont you think it's a weird combination to wear a Hello Kitty t-shirt with Batman shorts." He smiled at her discomfort.

"I dont care what you think about my wardrobe choices." he knew he was getting under her skin like he always did.

"It was just a mere friendly suggestion no need to get your Batman shorts in a twist."

"would you leave me alone, I was here to get some peace?"

"Alright, Agreste Jr. I am shutting up, but I am not leaving."

"Whatever, Flint." Moments passed by as they sat there enjoying a comfortable silence.

"Are you going somewhere on vacation?" Emma asked, out of curiosity.

"Why Agreste Jr, Are you going to miss me?"

"Can you just answer the question like a normal human being?"

"I dont know, can I?"

"Stop answering the question with another question, it's annoying."

"Alright Agreste Jr, I am going on a tour, What about you?"

"I am not sure Mama and Papa are going to be busy preparing for the Paris summer fashion week."

"I am going to be there, I think."

"That's Great."

"Yeah,  I should leave now." Emma stood up.

"Alright," A cool breeze blew and Emma shivered.

"Here take this." He pulled off his hoodie.

"I can---cant," as if on cue the wind blew again.

"We dont want our favorite blondie to get sick on the first day of her vacation." he thrust the hoodie in her hands.

"Goodbye, Emma." She pulled his hoodie over her shoulders.

"Goodbye, Flint."

That day they both went home with huge smiles on their faces.
