Its been a month since the incident at the Halloween night, both parties were silent as nothing has occurred.
Emma moved on with her life, trying to keep her negative emotion as hidden as some valuable treasure.
She was also worried for the boy who has been the source of her contempt these days.
He has been silent in their meeting as the superhero quartet.
It was wrong of her to even consider anything between them, she has been so wrong.
She tried hard to forget and move on with her life, as much as it hurts.

The Akuma attacks were also increasing in number day by day, Paris needs its heroes more than ever. The pressure on her young shoulders was too much to convey on her own.

It was a quiet day in Agreste's household, the air was somber and dreary. Emma feared that something was about to happen, she sprawled over a couch in the living area.

She heard the front gate of the manor open with a sound; she stood up and ran outside as she knew her parents were back from her mom's check-up.

Her mum was first to enter, Emma frowned a little. Her mother's eyes were red and puffy, as she has been crying.

She looks at Emma and smiles, it was not her usual bright smile but the one that screamed remorse and pain.

"What--- What happened?" her father entered, "Go to your room, Emma."

"But---" "we will talk later," they walked away, leaving her with her thoughts."

"What could've happened?" she muttered.

On the other end of the city, Chat Noir was sitting cross-legged on a tall building. Contemplating his life.

"What should I do? I can't keep ignoring her." He glanced at the soccer stadium in front of him.

He firmly spoke, "It must be a bad idea but I am going to tell her I like her and who I am, I can't keep hurting her or myself anymore,"

"And I have an excellent place and time for confession," he smirks slightly.

"Emma?" Adrian knocked on her daughter's door.

After a moment of silence, she calls, "Come in!"

"Emma, I am sorry about earlier," he set down on the chair.

"It's okay, Dad" she smiles slightly,

"Something happened to your mother's mentor from her teen years," Emma's hands flew to her mouth.

"He really helped her a lot in her job and he passed away today," His face held an impression of repentance, "and she was not there when he left, she feels guilty for not being by his side,"

"Oh," after a while he released a sigh, "I should check on your brother now, don't know what he is up to,"

she kept thinking of the said mentor, who could he be? mom looked very hurt. he must've helped her in the fashion industry.

A knock was heard from her balcony.

"Could it be him?" she thought, her heart pounding in her chest.

slowly but steadily she walked towards the door, with a click it was opened wide.

there was no sign of anyone on the balcony, she looked disappointed.

"no, stop it, Emma, get rid of negative emotions." she told him, "it's not like I was expecting him to visit----" she saw a black envelope on the ground.

"What is it?" The Kwami joined her on the balcony.

"I don't know, Tikki," She ripped the envelope and found a letter in it, "Who could've placed it here? no one comes here,"

"Who is it from, Emma?" the Kwami wished it was not what she had in mind.

"It's from..." there was a slight pause, "...Chat Noir?"

"What??" The kwami said in a high-pitched voice.

With trembling hands, she held the paper, Why would he write her a letter? after weeks of ignoring her like she didn't exist.

'Dear Emma,

I know I've been an idiot for ignoring you for the past few weeks and I apologize deeply for that. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I will try to earn it. only if you'll let me.

I am not good at words or emotions Emma Agreste and I am sure you know that you. There is a ticket for the soccer final btw UNITED and TIGERS on Sunday, I wish to see you there. I have a confession to make and apologize to you for every time I've hurt you.

We will meet after the match and hopefully, you'll recognize me as who I am behind the mask.

Loving you,

C.N'

She finished the letter with a release of breath.

"Would you go, Emma?"

"Honestly, Tikki, I don't know..."

"I think you should go, Emma, if he wants to apologize, you should at least listen to him."

"Okay, I am going but just to wack some sense into him," Emma giggled, it has been months since the Kwami has heard her wielder make such noise.

She hoped the fate was on their side.
