It was a day before Halloween, Flint was walking in the hallways of the school, hearing the whispers among the student's body about a new development on Emma Agreste.

She is going on a date, and her date is not Flint Joseph. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed heavily.

A masquerade ball was being held at Carolina's place and Emma had a date for the ball and he didn't, what the world has come to.

'Who could ask her on a date?' from what he heard, the person was not from his school or anyone from his considerate group of friends.

"Aww, Emma, look how you've grown," Sara cooed, as Emma rolled her eyes.

"It's nothing serious at all, it's just a single date." Sara snorted.

Sara narrows her eyes at her best friend, "do you know what that means?" Emma carelessly shrugged, "that you are the most stupid person I've ever met!" she shouted, grabbing Emma's shoulders.

"I know," Emma whispered.

"then--- then why?"

"I don't know," Emma was bemoaning her decision, "I was scared, and he was there at the moment and it just happened."

Concerned, Sara asked, "who scared you?"

"Cole,"

"Cole? that bully! he is going to get what is coming his way!" Sara pulled her sleeves up in fury.

"Calm down, Sara,"

Sara ignored her pleading, "that nutcracker! he is going to die!"

Jaden quietly said, "Just ignore her, and who is your date anyway?"

"Leslie," Jaden was startled at her answer, "Leslie? as in Carolina's cousin?" Emma nodded in confirmation, "from what I've heard from Carol, he is not a bad guy,"

"you should calm down, Sara," Emma told her, "Whatever, but don't expect me to not hurt that stuck up brat,"

"I am in to put that idiot in his place," Jaden volunteered, "and I heard he is also going to the party," a devilish grin appeared on Sara's face.

Emma rubbed her eyes, "it's going to be a long night,"

(With Flint,)

In comparison with the last year, this time the party was a Masquerade. It meant wearing a mask.

It was not a new commitment for Flint, as he was wearing a mask daily since he was Chat Noir.

he looked at the mask that he held in his hand, it was the same color as his alter-ego's mask.

Deep in his thoughts, Flint said, "Would she recognize me?"

"Who?" The black Kwami asked.

"Nevermind," he muttered.

The Kwami held his face in his tiny hands, "Look, Flint, it may sound a little sappy, but just be yourself," Plagg let go of his face, "she will recognize you, after all, Flint Joseph and Chat Noir are the same person, your mask does not define who you are," he points at his heart, "It's what there matters the most,"

The boy smiled at him, "Thanks, Plagg,"

the Kwami yawned, "No problem,"

(With Emma)

"My Lady, you look beautiful," Leslie bowed and held out his hand, "You look quite decent yourself," Emma bit her tongue hard as he placed a kiss on her hand.

(A/N: Emma's gown looked something like this picture below.)
