It was one of Emma's favorite festive season besides Christmas that is. mostly because of her grandparents treats.
Emma walked out of the giant gates of Agreste mansion and walked towards her grandparent's bakery.
Emma was invited to a costume party at Carolina's place at 9 p.m. and she had two hours. she decided to take a trip to the bakery for treats.
As she walked further, a gust of wind blew her golden locks out of her bluebell eyes.
the weather was quite chilly as the sign that winter was approaching rapidly.
Emma pulled her blue hoodie over her head.
Emma was enjoying the sight of several kids in various costumes, going around the houses of their neighbors for a little trick and treat.
As Emma reached the bakery she pushed the door and it swung open with a little sound of bell.
She stepped in the bakery and familiar warmth greeted her.
"Hello, Grandma!" she greeted the lady at the counter.
"Hello, Emma." her grandma hugged her.
"I am assuming that you are here for your Halloween treat." it was more of a statement than a question.
"yes," she smiled sheepishly.
"Tom!" his head popped from the door.
"So our little Emma is here," Emma hugged her grandpa.
"Can I have my treat now?" Emma pouted.
"of course, but first you have to help us in making it." Tom winked at his grand-daughter.
"you know I will be more than happy to help you, guys."
After making some Halloween horror treats, Emma decided to enjoy her cookies and hot cocoa at the balcony of her mum's old room.
she took a sip of hot cocoa and watched Eiffel tower on its all glory.
"you know it's not going to hurt you so, come out of the shadows." she glanced at her right.
the cat suited hero cursed himself. firstly for being there, secondly for her incredible sixth sense. he stepped out of his hiding place.
"If I knew better, I would have thought that you are stalking me." She smirked on him.
"If I knew better, I would not have been here." he picked up a macaron from her plate and munched on it, "but my appetite is to blame."
"Hey, they are mine!" she picked up the plate before he was able to reach it again.
"oh, come on!" cat suited hero pouted.
"Alright," she sighed and slid the plate filled with sweets to his side.
his face lit up like a five-year-old on receiving a present.
after a half-hour of chatting with the superhero, Emma did not realize how time flew by.
"my god! I am so late," she shrieked looking at her wristwatch.
the superhero looked at her bewildered.
"I have to go now, you can stay here If you want." with that Emma Agreste left the hero on the balcony of her grandparent's bakery.
"what the hell just happened." the hero murmured.
"Emma, thank god you are here!" carol came up to her.
Emma was currently at the house or should she say hotel of the current mayor, Chloe bourgeois.
Emma was wearing a typical cinderella costume with her hair flowing in the back.
unfortunately, the twins were not in the city on this occasion. in simple words, Emma was alone at the party.
carol or Carolina bourgeois was not one of her best friends. Emma considered her a good friend.
Emma sighed and gazed lazily at the teenagers in the huge hall.
some were recognizable even in costumes but some were not. like the guy standing at the other corner of the wearing a black mask and a black cloak with a hood at the top.
at the same moment, the guy turned to her side and stared back at her. she could make out his green eyes.
bored Emma broke the eye contact with the stranger and turned to the table. she stuffed her mouth with another muffin.
'yum... but still not better as grandpa's.' Emma devoured the sweet taste of chocolate in her mouth.
Emma turned around and saw the similar masked green eyes staring straight at her blue ones.
she did not know how long she stood there in a stupor.
"would you mind taking aside, I am trying to get to the muffins."
"sure--sure," with that Emma stepped aside.
"Nice costume by the way," the mystery guy picked up a muffin, "you look beautiful."
"Thanks," Emma tucked her hair behind her ear nervously.
"no, no need to be nervous." he chuckled.
"I am not nervous,"
the mystery guy stepped a little closer, "it's not wise to leave your guest alone at the rooftop."
"Chat---chat noir!"
he shushed her, "the one and only,"
"what are you doing here?" it was a whisper.
"I am here for a very confidential mission," he stated.
"Ohh, a mission."
"yep, a mission."
"What kind of mission?"
"didn't you understood the meaning of confidential?" he tilted his head.
"yes, of course I did."
"would you like to-- you know to dance with me?" after some moments just watching the couples dance Chat noir, being the knight asked the girl in a princess gown.
"of course," she smiled, when he held his hand out to her.
without any hesitance, Emma placed her hand in his.
that night Emma had a lot of fun.
little did she knew, the masked boy was thinking the same thing.
