The three familiar figures walked into the movie theater.
"Why are we going to watch a horror flick, anyway?" Jaden asked as Emma bought tickets for them.
"Because we can," Emma licked her ice cream cone. "And I am paying for tickets," Emma waved the money and placed it on the counter.
"Of course, you can," he muttered.
"Oh come on, Jaden. I swear no zombie will hurt you today." Sara promised him.
"Well, I am not scared of zombies," He made a face, "they just disgust me."
"Of course, they are disgusting and we love it!" The girls exclaimed.
"Hey, isn't that guy from the park that day?" Jaden pointed at a guy in the distance.
"He sure is," Sara slurped her smoothie, "maybe he is here to watch a movie too."
"Let's go, the movie is about to begin,"
The friends walked hurriedly.Emma and the twins took their seats side by side.
Jaden being horrified and disgusted by the choice of the movie, sits in the middle.
After the movie ceases towards the climax, most of the people start to leave the building.
"Can we please leave, now?" Jaden shifted slightly on his seat.
"Chill, Jaden, when the credits roll, we can leave."
"It's only three minutes from now," Emma quipped.
At last, the credits finally roll, and the trio leaves the theatre.
"That was amazing!"
"Yes, It was, Sara,"
"Well, what do we got here? Only Agreste Jr and friends." Flint walk up to the trio.
"Hey, Flint." Emma greets him, followed by the twins.
"I didn't know you guys were here,"
Flint curiously inquires.
"Well, we did not notice you either, is Caroline with you?" Flints mouth tasted sour at the mention of the redhead.
"No, she is not," he abruptly replies, sounding a little rude.
"you were not on a date?" Jaden asked.
"No, I was not and it shouldn't be your concern," Jaden glared at the boy, " or maybe you are just a little jealous,"
Emma knew the argument was only going to heat, she says, "will you guys stop acting like five-year-olds,"
A boy very familiar to the trio was also present on the side of Flint.
To make his presence known, he coughed.
"Oh," was all the trio said.
Flint Joseph on cue introduced the boy, " this is my friend, Humza Yusuf and there are Emma, Sara, and the one who doesn't shut up,"
Jaden fumed at the insult, "well, I am not the mirror, now am I, Joseph?"
"Oh, you don't even have enough brain cells to be a mirror," he smirked, and Emma knew the debate was going to heat up from there.
The tension between the boys was suffocating her, it's been like that for months to no end."It's nice of you, Flint, but we have met before," Sara quipped, smiling.
"Oh, you have?" With inquiring gaze, he looked at the boy they were talking about.
The boy just shrugged, carelessly.
"When did you meet him?" Flint asked.
"It was a few days ago, I guess," Emma replied.
Jaden impatiently nudged at her arm, "I think we should leave, take care, Flint and Humza,"
"Patience is great virtue" Emma quotes, while the twins looked at her, dumbfounded.
"What?" Jaden asked.
"The virtue you've been lacking, Jaden" she glares at the said boy.
"What do you mean?" He asked, defensively.
"You know very well what I mean, Jaden. You've never have been the one to hold grudges, what changed?"
"Everything, I guess, Emma"
"What are you implying, Jaden?" Sara asked her brother.
He points at them, "You both changed,"
"What?! No, we didn't,"
"Yes, you did, since you became buddies with Joseph."
"Oh, it's about Flint, I can't believe you can be jealous of him of all people," Emma gave a humorless laugh.
It's not all about Flint, is it, little brother?
Sara narrows her eyes and walks around him like he was prey to be hunted by the predator.
"Oh my God!" With wide eyes, she looked at Emma who was just as confused as Jaden.
"You--- you like Carol!"
'What?!" Jaden exclaimed, Emma herself was shocked to comprehend.
"No, I don't!" Jaden not meeting their eyes was enough conformation for Sara.
"You like Carol but you didn't bother telling us?"
"I don't like her at all, you've been mistaken."
With that Jaden was gone, leaving the two girls behind.
"Do you think he will admit it?" Sara asked.
"Carol is dating Flint, ring any bells?"
"Yes, they are. but if you were in his shoes, wouldn't you like to confess your feelings, rather than burying them?"
"If I was in his shoes, I would not do something stupid as you are suggesting."
"Well, I was trying to help, Emma."
Somewhere deep Emma knew that some feelings cannot be buried, like her uncertain feelings for a certain hero, with that thought, Emma couldn't help but sigh.Author's Note:
