(Flashback)
She did notice everything, the little changes in his behavior.
Chat Noir was different, he didn't call her names or tried to flirt with her.
Ladybug should've been thankful that he was not distracting her with his lame jokes and stupid puns.
She shouldn't worry, she told herself, but she did worry about these little changes.
'things changes,' she told herself, 'So, does people.'
for some reason, Marinette Dupain-Chaing didn't like the changes in her crime-fighting partner.
Chat was not supposed to be flirty and making bad puns, but he was not himself lately.
One day, on a very pleasant evening, Chat Noir and Ladybug were sitting on a rooftop after defeating an Akuma.
"I think Hawkmoth is losing his touch lately," Ladybud said and Chat Noir laughed.
"Maybe you are right, Ladybug,"
"Hey, Chat, can I ask you something?" she asked uncertainly.
"Of course, Ladybug," he was now looking directly at her, waiting for her to ask her question.
After some moments of fiddling with her fingers, she decided to ask, "you've changed," she looked away not meeting his eyes, afraid of what she will see in them.
"Pardon?" he looked confused.
"I mean you don't make puns anymore," she continued despite her mind telling her not to, "and you don't even tease me."
he looked at her as if she was out of her mind and then laughed at her expense.
"Oh, my God!" her cheeks grew warm with embarrassment, but she glared at her partner with such intensity that stopped his laughter.
"Sorry, ladybug, it was unintentional." he wiped a tear of mirth with his clawed fingers.
"It was not funny," she huffed annoyed and cursed herself for even caring.
"I thought you would be glad," he was right she should be happy he was not teasing her.
when she kept silent he began, "I found someone," that startled her to the core.
"I found someone who likes me for me and understands what others couldn't or never tried to," he ran a hand through his blond locks.
"Who she is?"
"Now, Ladybug, I can't tell it will blow my secret identity," he smirked at her flushed face when she realized her mistake.
"do you remember, Ladybug," she was about to ask what but thought against it, "when I first confessed my feelings towards you?"
she remembered very vividly the day she was heartbroken because Adrian didn't show up for the Ice cream.
The day she realized that Chat Noir liked Ladybug.
The day Chat Noir cheered Marinette because she was depressed.
The day she told him that she liked another boy and they could never be together.
The day he told her that he didn't care and that her friendship mattered to him more than anything.
She did remember it very much.
"What about it?" she asked.
"I am still going to say that your friendship matters more than anything." he was gone leaving a very confused Ladybug behind.
She was glad her partner had found someone he can love... But why does her relationship with Luka felt so deficient?
Author's Note:
How was it? Good or bad? It was a little short Chapter.
I also wanted to rent on something or rather Someone, Chloe Bourgeois and the destruction of her very well deserved Redemption Arc.
I don't know why but Thomas Astruc for some reason unknown to me, hates Chloe.
Being hated by your own creator well, that sucks.
Thomas a little while ago tweeted that how much he hates Chloe, a fifteen-year-old girl who basically to me is still a child, we know she is Marinette's Rival and rude stuck up child but still a Child.
That fifteen-year-old Girl is EVIL! Why!? I know she had caused Akumas. So, did Marinette and she is the lead character.
But we also know about her back story, why she is the way she is.
because her sweet mom Abandoned her and her Father is well, not a great Father figure.
Thomas's hate tweet caused an uproar in fandom and Fangirls/boys Smpathized with the said Character.
