Tebow and the Girl

ZOOOO!!!!

The dinner with Tim, Luke, Nikki, Jax , and I went well. After dinner Jax and Tim played with toys while I chewed out Luke and Nikki. Jax went to bed shortly after and the four of us enjoyed a few drinks.

"So Tim how is being a college football analyst?" Nikki asks.

"It is fun. Not like actually playing football, but it's still great." Nikki nods then turns to me.

" So... Ella how is your book going?"

"Well I'm working on two books right now and they are both doing great. One book is for Jax, well a children's book. And then the other is a young adult book."

"Which do you enjoy most?"

"My children's books."

"Why?" Nikki looks amused.

"I love spending time with Jax and while I'm working on it I can run story plots through him. Also when I'm finished I can read it to Jax and spend together time." I smile.

"Wait Ella you are a writer?" Tim asks.

"Yes I am. I've always written that's how I survived school and my childhood. Heh."

"Yawn! Huh look at the time.. we better be going right Nikki?" Luke says.

"Yes we better. Goodnight love you Ella! Bye Tim! Come on Luke!" The two get up and leave. Umm okay?

"Okay.. I have a feeling my brother thinks I like you.. I barely know you, why on Earth would he expect me to hang out with a guy I barely know?! Ugh! My brother!!"

"I should probably leave anyways. It's getting late and I have plans tomorrow. So I'll talk to you some other time. Bye Ella."

"Goodbye Tim." Tim gets up puts his shoes on and leaves. I go to the door and watch as he drives down the street.

I wake up at 5:30 and get into the shower. At 6:00 I'm dried and dressed out of the bathroom and ready to start my day. By 6:15 Jax is up and we watch our morning cartoons.

"Mommy what are we going to do today?"

"I don't know. We might go to the park. Or the zoo." I say smiling.

"Zoo! Zoo! Zoo! Zoo! Zoo!" Jax chants while jumping on the couch. I grab him in midair and bring him back down to the couch and tickle him.

"Okay, go pick out an outfit lets see how you do today." Jax runs to his room and I go grab a small bag to pack for the day. A few minutes later Jax came out with a pair of coveralls and a shirt.

"Mommy can you help me get these on?"

"Coveralls? On a nice day? Long pants? Warm weather? Are you sure? Long sleeves?" Jax runs back to his room and brings back a t-shirt and a pair of shorts on. "That's better Jax good job." I go around the house packing what we need for our trip for the zoo. Snacks, extra cloths for Jax, sunblock, drinks, hats, camera, etc.

At 8:00 we head for the zoo. When we get there the gates open and we meet Luke, Nikki, and guess who! Yup! Tim.. and some little kid.

"Ella, uh, we hope you don't mind we invited Tim on the trip." Nikki says politely..

"You two said she knew.. Alan and I can go some where else and see you guys later.."

"No, no you guys can join. Alan and Jax seem to like each other." I look in between the two little boys in the strollers waving back and forth and smiling between the two. Why can't I be like my son? Why can't I make friend so easily? Ugh! Why does it have to be so hard?
