46) Moments

~Brooklyn

"..and thats what happened" I mumbled to Calum, who looked very uncomfortable.

I had just finished telling Calum about the Monica story.

"I guess we're more a-like then we both pictured" Calum said

I sighed, picking up my bag off of the table. "You're leaving?" Calum asked, taking a sip of his drink.

I looked at the Restaurant's checkered Tiled floors. I nodded my head, and a frown spread across Calum's face.

"Yeah" I stated. "There is no point in staying here, if that is all you wanted to talk about is ..."

"Monica" He mumbled.

"Yeah"

He sighed. "Brooklyn"

"Calum" I answered

"I miss you" he said. "just stay with me"

I looked at the clock on my watch. The time read 8:49 p.m. Calum's eyes burned into my face as I checked my watch. I did not want to look up at him, because of how nervous I was.

"Brooklyn, look at me" Calum whispered "I love you"

"No you don't" I said "please dont lie to me"

his face became cross, and he sighed once again. Looking around, he runs his fingers through his hair.

"Why can't I ever reason with you?" Calum asked "It's like you really don't care anymore, Brooklyn"

I didn't know what to say to Calum. Him and I aren't really working, and Lord knows how much I wan't to be with him, but i just don't know, if there can be an 'us' right now.

"Calum" I said. "I care so much about you, but I just don't know how to show it anymore"

"Luke really likes you" Calum said. "And to be honest, Im jealous" he laughed.

Seeing him laugh made me smile.

"You are now?" I asked Calum

"...yeah" he said "I hate seeing my girl being shared with someone else"

"Your girl?" I questioned sitting back down in the booth

"Yes, my girl" Calum said. "Even if we aren't together, you'll always be my girl Brooke" he smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "Please don't call me Brooke..." "Luke calls me that"

"Oh" he said. "I'm sorry, I didn't know"

I laughed at him. "I didn't mean it as he could only call me that, I just don't like the name"

"Oh" he breathed. "You like Luke, yeah?"

I smiled a little, and then realized that Calum was staring at me, so I awkwardly sipped my cherry cola. He smiled as I did this, and I smiled back at him.

"You do, don't you?"

"I don't really know Calum. I am just as confused as you are" I said to him

He nodded his head. I watched him for a while, and he soon got up and sat next to me in my booth.

"I swear, you are so beautiful" he placed a stray hair behind my ear. "Prettier than any other girl I have seen before"

"Thank you" I blushed.

"And even if you don't want a relationship with me any longer, I respect that" He said. "It'll hurt, but I respect you and your decicison"

I smiled at him, and kissed his lips lightly.

"I love you" Calum said

And in that momement, my smile faded because yet again I worry if this is all an act.
