8) As Young As We Are Now

I realize myself standing up in the grass, and Calum's fingers intertwining with mine.

"Your hand's are small" he said

"I've never heard that before" I said.

Calum smiled at me.

"But it's cute though." He said

"Calum, let's be real here." I said "I don't think our 'relationship' is going to be able to get any further"

"Why?" He asked

"I'm going to hurt you career Calum. I know how this is going to end. Just let me be" I said.

"But I don't want too" he said, now looking into my eyes. "I want you, and only you"

"In what way?" I asked

"Whatever way, that I can make you stay, and not leave me" he said.

"Calum"

"Brooklyn" he said. "I mean it"

"Prove it" I said.

As soon as I said that, I felt Calum's lips collide with mine. What is he doing? We've only met about 4 days ago, and he's already kissing me. Under all this pressure I kissed back. Our lips moved in sync, and soon Calum pulled away.

I touched my lips. "What was that for?" I asked.

"You told me to prove it" he said. "So, I was just doing what you told me to do"

"Oh" I said

"You know, I just want to hear your name and not feel anything, Brooklyn. I've developed these feelings for you within a number of days, and I can't picture how your going to make me feel after weeks, months, and maybe even years" he said.

"Calum, you know nothing about me" I said.

"But, that's why I want to keep on wanting to find out any inch of information I can get from you"

I smiled. "That's sweet" I said

"I like you Brooklyn, and I want to keep on liking you" he said before kissing me again.

I pulled away slowly. "Let's just take things slow for right now"

"Brooklyn, this is just an observation but, I know you pretend to be happy even when your not" he said

"What?" I questioned

"Yeah. Are you okay?" He asked

"Everyone's a little fucked up Calum" I said.

"But you, Brooklyn, seem heartbroken" he said.

"C-Calum. I'm f-fine" I said.

But I wasn't fine. I don't want to face my past, and deal with the chilling movement that was before me.

Calum was right.

I am truly heartbroken
