Ghost

I wrote this a couple of years ago. Anyone ever related?

I feel like a ghost.
People see me,
But don't believe in me,
Or they think I'm a monster or a pest.
And those that do believe or see
Simply use me or think of me as
Something I'm not.
And the ones that don't care
Or become frustrated
Shut me out.
There are some that are scared,
But they don't bother me much.
Ghosts have reputations for being
Ugly
Scary
Evil
Abusive
Benign
Sentient
Angry
And lonely
And are known for
Haunting
And possessing.
I know the people
Who associate me
With those words.
