A Feeling

Ever had that feeling
Where you feel like
You're in a different world
Or a separate sense of consciousness?
Maybe when you're drawing
Or writing
Or listening to a song.
Maybe it's a certain scent
Or picture
Or an item
Or some scenery while on a car ride.
But whatever it is,
You know when it hits you.
It's enchanting.
Enrapturing.
And you feel as if
You're in another world
A different state of mind.

Is it relaxing?
Is it frightening?
Is it filled with bright colors?
Or is it an image?
Surreal?
An old memory?
Or maybe something of your own imagination?

And when it comes,
Why is it you get the feeling
That you don't want to leave?

It's almost as if it's calling you,
Pulling your strings
And tugging on your brain.

It brings peace
Bliss
Fear
Longing
Sadness
And even an air of mystery.

It's a special feeling
That takes hold of you
And never lets go.

Don't you let it go.
It's a part of you
That will linger in your heart forever.
