Addison's POV

Wyatt, the former beta, a human but not quite right. She should have seen it coming. Why he was so conflicted. Why he kept pushing everyone away. He had felt guilty because he was a traitor.

Wyatt stood tall beside Violet. His eyes showed no guilt or remorse. He glared at Addison like the first time she had met him.

"No." Willa said. "He can't be. He's under a trance."

"No, I am not sister. "Wyatt spoke his voice clear and strong. "The vampires showed me that the humans must pay for doing this to me. Its all humans fault. Werewolves join us. The humans have done nothing for you."

The werewolves looked at Willa waiting for her orders.

"Most humans are terrible. But some are wonderful and we can't condemn a whole race because of a few humans." Willa said. "The Wyatt I know would stand with humans."

Addison watched for any signs the vampires had put a trance on him. There was nothing.  "Then you are my enemy. You don't know what the humans did to me." He gestured toward himself.

"You are still part of our pack and no wolf gets left behind." Willa said.

Addison watched Wyatt closer. His right eyes twitched but only for a second.  "Silence!" Violet called.

"Vampires are the true leaders of Seabrook. We built this town for ourselves. When the werewolves came, we were friends, sharing land. The human settlers came and we shared with them too. They were afraid of us and turned on the werewolves stealing the moonstone. We tried to help the werewolves but the humans started a war with us."

"The werewolves stayed out of it fearing that their moonstones would soon run out of power. The humans overpowered us and killed many of our kind. "

"We fled to the edges of the Forbidden Forest but only after we signed a vampire promise. A neverending promise that would kill us if we disobeyed. They made us wear our bloodstones." She touched her earning.

"The bloodstones stop us from drinking human blood. They also give us the power to turn into bats. The humans wanted us gone so we flew away."

"The Forbidden Forest was not big enoungh for all vampires and werewolves so many disagreements arose. The werewolves beat us in a battle and made us promise to leave their territory and never come back."

"The humans are the monsters and we must control them!" Violet finished. She stopped her pacing.

The werewolves murmured within their circle they had made.

"What she said is true." Willa announced. "But they are not the leaders of this town. They must.." She was cut off by the squeals of engines. The Monster Patrol had arrived.

The werewolves fell into a protective circle. The zombies bared their teeth. The humans looked nervous. The vampires looked pleased.

The MP troopers came and stood by the vampires. Addison gasped. It had all been the vampires. They had manipulated everyone!

"Humans have very weak minds." Violet said.

"Easy to give a quiet suggestion and let them give into our soothing voices." Evon said.

The troopers looked at the group and set up tazers and stood ready. Addison ran over to Willa.

"We have to..." She started.

"Get rid of the silver." Willa nodded. "Can you get some humans on that?" She nodded at the group.

"I will. But that's not what I meant. We need to get Wyatt." Addison said.
