Willa's POV

Wyatt was the happiest she had seen him in a long time. He trained the pups with newfound energy. He hunted like never before and brought back food for the whole pack. Something was wrong. Willa could always sense Wyatt's feelings.

"Wyatt, what are you up to?" Willa asked him early one morning.

"Keeping the pack healthy and happy!" Wyatt singsonged.

"Why are you singing?" Willa asked.

"Why not?" Wyatt asked. He picked up some spare sticks in the den and threw them in a blazing fire.

"Do I need to get Dad?" Willa asked. "He'll beat the truth out of you."

Wyatt's happy face faltered for a moment. Then it returned quickly. "I'm fine. We're all fine."

"We're at the edge of war." Willa said. "Dad will not be happy that you are this happy. It's...unnatural. I haven't seen you this happy since...Addison. Have you been seeing Addison?"

Wyatt gave a false nervous laugh. "No, why would you think that?"

"Do you have a new tempus?" Willa asked.

"No, I'm just happy Dad is back."

"And killing humans. You're happy he's killing humans?" Willa looked at her brother. "Yep, something is defiantly not right with you. If you won't tell me, I'll just figure it out. I always do." Willa walked away and sat by Wynter while watching her brother.

Wyatt sat down at the fire and poked it. He looked troubled. He occasionally looked around nervously then grinned cockily at Willa as if he had won something.

Willa got sleepy but never faltered from watching Wyatt.

Wyn, the head protector, went over to Willa just as the sun's rays touched the den. Wyatt and Willa hadn't moved. Everyone else was asleep.

"You got first day watch for me right?" Wyn asked.

"Sure." Willa agreed without thinking. "Wait what?"

"You have watch duty." Wyn said smiling. "You agreed."

"No! I was..." Willa groaned. "Aggg! Fine." She grumbled and walked over to the watcher's spot.

She looked over to Wyatt's spot and saw he was gone. Oh where'd you go, Wyatt? Don't do anything you'll regret!

Addison's POV

Addison sat in wait for Wyatt at their meeting spot. It was just off the werewolf territory in a cave, hidden from both werewolf and vampire.

She felt horrible about what she had done and said. She was a werewolf and missed her pack with a deep longing. As Wyatt had said, a werewolf was truly nothing without their pack.

Addison felt depressed. She was in the mood to do nothing and talk to no one. She wanted no comfort and sympathy but at the same time all the love and pity.

The only one who understood her was Wyatt. She couldn't keep up this forever. She knew she couldn't come back into his pack. It was against all the rules. She shouldn't have left.

You don't just give up on family even if you don't agree with them. Addison missed them so much that it hurt and she regreted her banishment so much.
Her arms looked bare without the silverly lines of her marks.

The vampires were counting on her. The werewolves hated her. The humans didn't trust her. The zombies were scarred of her  Addison had made a symphony and now she was supposed to lead it all with no guide.
