AFTER JASMINE AND DRACO HAD EXPLAINED everything to Theo, he had reassured Jasmine that they would be safe, and that there was no way their father would put them in unnecessary danger, even if he was working for Voldemort.

It had seemed that a fair few people had seen Jasmine and Draco leave the great hall together, holding hands and so rumours had started to circulate about them being together. Whilst they weren't entirely right, they also weren't wrong. She was always wearing her engagement ring.

She and Draco hadn't spoken about their almost kiss, and she assumed they wouldn't, because surely he was just being nice and was trying to console her. It couldn't have meant anything to him. In previous years she was well aware of the reputation Draco had with girls, lots of girls obviously wanted a taste of the Slytherin prince.

Jasmine scolded herself, she shouldn't have been so stupid as to make herself vulnerable like that in front of him. She was embarrassed, even if they were to be married.

Jasmine got to herbology on time, Draco following behind her into the classroom, her eyes made it obvious that she had been crying. Hannah sent her a worried look as she walked into the greenhouse.

Jasmine sat herself down next to her, whilst Draco sat at his usual table with Crabbe and Goyle, but his eyes never once left her.

"what happened?" Hannah whispered, giving her a nudge as she rushed to get her text book and parchment out. "I'll explain later" Jasmine told her, trying to give her a small smile, but it was clear that she was still worried.

Jasmine got through her full day of lessons with minimal disruption, her last being potions where she sat next to Draco. She so desperately wanted things not to be awkward after their almost kiss this morning.

Draco didn't make it awkward however, he was actually his normal self. Annoying her and bugging for answers that he most definitely knew.

Professor Snape came around to check the work they were doing when Jasmine's ring had obviously caught some light and had shone, catching his attention. "what an interesting finger to have a ring on, miss Nott" he spoke, causing Jasmine's face to go pale. Why would he even say that.

"Um, yes, I just liked it" Jasmine stuttered out, moving her hand so that it was on her lap and not visible. "good work on the potion" he simply said and sauntered off.

Jasmine looked to Draco with wide eyes who was struggling to hold in a laugh. "could you imagine if I had to tell him we were engaged?" Jasmine whisper shouted at the boy, "its not funny Draco" she whined and leant her head on top of her arms on the desk.

"lets tell people then, there will be rumours, lets just set them straight" Draco shrugged his shoulders clearly not concerned.

"you're mad. Pansy will cut my body into tiny pieces and then feed me to a dragon" Jasmine hissed at the boy, she didn't know that Pansy was already aware.
