•THIRTY SIX•

JASMINE AND DRACO SAT STILL, until Voldemort had apparated away, soon the other death eaters following him, leaving the Malfoy's and the Notts left behind in the Manor.

As they left, Draco wrapped his arm around Jasmine as their fathers moved to remove the body of their professor.

Jasmine buried her face into his chest at the sight, she was crying, that much was clear to see, both Draco and Theo also traumatised by the sight in front of them.

Draco was particularly vocal about his hatred of muggles, and how he didn't particularly enjoy the subject, which was why he didn't take it as a N.E.W.T, but to see the teacher die for simply doing her job was a lot to take on, and completely disturbing.

"I need to tell you something" Jasmine whispered, looking up at Draco. He nodded and took Jasmines hand, leading her out of the room without any words to their families.

Jasmine followed him up the stairs and into their bedroom. Loki was curled up asleep at the end of their bed, looking very peaceful, if only Jasmine felt that way.

Draco shut the door behind her, pulling her to sit next to him on the bed.

"Is he just going to go and kill all the professors at Hogwarts now?" Jasmine spoke softly, the tears still streaming down her face.

"I don't know. All I know is you're not going back there" Draco told her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"Our friends, Draco." Jasmine cried, thinking of Hannah in particular. Jasmine knew her Slytherin friends would be fine, they'd know how to keep quiet.

"I know, Jas. I know" He squeezed her shoulder as she sobbed. "I think I'm pregnant" she said, her eyes meeting his. "seriously?" Draco asked, moving so that he was facing her.

"my periods late, I've been throwing up, I'm tired all the time amongst other things, everything points to being pregnant" Jasmine sighed looking up at him.

"I'm going to be a father?" Draco asked, the first glimmer of hope she'd seen in his eyes for months.

Jasmine nodded, a small smile playing on her lips.

"oh, Jas" He said, engulfing her in a hug, squeezing her tight.

"I'm scared, Draco" She said, breathing in his scent.

"Me too, Jas. I'm gonna do everything I can to protect you, to protect the both of you." Draco told her, pulling away slightly so that he could look at her.

"I don't want him to know yet" Jasmine whispered, looking down at their intertwined hands.

"we won't tell him until we have to, until we can't hide it" Draco promised her, looking to her sincerely.

"I love you, so much" Jasmine told him, her lips twitching into a smile.

"I love you. You're it for me, Jas. You've only ever been it for me" He told her, Jasmines heart soared at this.

"its always been you" Jasmine told him, pulling him in to kiss her. His lips smacking against hers, the passion between the two evident.

Jasmine pulled away from the kiss slowly, resting her forehead against his.

"Maybe we should tell your mother, she might be able to tell us for sure" Jasmine said softly, Draco nodded, the smile still playing on his lips.

"Shall we tell her now?" Draco asked and she nodded, Draco stood up, holding his hand out for her to take, which she did gladly.

They walked out of his bedroom and to the drawing room, where Narcissa was sat in front of the fire, just staring at it.

"mum" Draco said, catching her attention, her eyes looked up at the couple, to see a very nervous looking Jasmine, and a fidgeting Draco.

"what is it?" Narcissa asked, standing up and walking towards the couple.

"I think I'm pregnant" Jasmine blurted out, giving Draco's hand a squeeze.

"oh my! did you want to know for sure?" She asked and both she and Draco nodded in response.

Narcissa performed a spell that Jasmine hadn't heard before and pressed her hand to Jasmine's stomach. She gasped and pulled away abruptly.

Narcissa nodded, "in 8 and a half months time, you will have a child" They heard a gasp behind them.

"you're pregnant?" They heard Theo's voice. Jasmines head snapped around to see her brother, who looked to be in shock.

"Theo" Jasmine breathed out, "are you going to tell him?" Theo asked and Draco shook his head.

"Not until we have to" he spoke for her. "Good" Theo told them, before engulfing his little sister in for a hug.

"I can't lie, the thought of you two doing 'it' makes me feel sick, but I'm proud of you, and I love you" Theo told her, as if he was giving them his blessing. Not that he could stop it, they were already married.

"Now the three of you are here, we think its a good time to tell you all, you're not going back to school" Lucius said, walking into the drawing room, their father following in after him.

"Jasmine wasn't going back anyway." Theo said, and her eyes shot to his, "what do you mean, Theodore?" Their father spoke, at each of the three teenagers.

"Jasmine's pregnant" Narcissa told the older men, Jasmine feeling vulnerable under her fathers eyes.

"we have to tell him" Lucius said, causing Jasmine's eyes to widen.

"NO!" Narcissa, Jasmine, Theo and Draco shouted, causing Lucius to furrow his eyebrows.

"Not yet. It's still early. She might lose it" Narcissa hissed at Lucius.

Jasmine hadn't thought about that. She was healthy and young and could withstand a pregnancy. She knew that Narcissa just said it to buy them some time.

"dad?" Jasmine asked her father that had stayed silent.

"I can't say I'm pleased. You're my daughter. But I knew this would come. I did arrange the marriage" Theodore spoke, looking sternly at Jasmine and Draco, who simply nodded in response.

"If this is the only good thing to come out of this, I'm happy" Narcissa said, taking Jasmine's hand and giving it a squeeze. Narcissa saw Jasmine as the daughter she never had.

Jasmine had just hoped that everything would work out okay in the end. And that her family would be safe. That was the only thing that mattered to her.

She prayed that when this baby grew up, it wouldn't have to experience any of the horrors that they had experienced in their time.
