THIRTY ONE

THEY HAD MADE IT BACK ONTO THE HOGWARTS EXPRESS, Jasmine sitting with Draco and her brother for half of the journey. She clung to Draco after The Dark Lord had paid them a visit and he pretty much refused to leave her side.

Jasmine had started getting nightmares. She was terrified of what could happen if she didn't get pregnant and that was portraying itself in the nightmares she had, whether it be Voldemort killing her, or killing Draco, or everyone else close to her.

She found solace in Draco however, and managed to sleep much easier when he was next to her, the sound of his heart beating as she lay on his chest was like a lullaby for Jasmine. She didn't want to have to sleep without him, in fear of the nightmares she would have.

She was still clinging to him now on the train, and it was rare that she was on her own, always with Draco or Theo. She wasn't sure if she would do well without having either of them by her side. Theo had yet to have been given a task and she was sure it wouldn't be until after the year was over that he would be asked to do anything, so they had time.

Jasmine got up to go and find Hannah when Draco grabbed her hand to get her to stay and not to leave. "I have to go and find Hannah, its fine, I'll find you later" Jasmine told him and he nodded in response, but showed unwillingness to let her go.

Jasmine knew she couldn't have Draco or her brother by her side 24/7 like they had pretty much insisted at Malfoy Manor, and she needed to get used to that. Besides, whilst Dumbledore was alive, Hogwarts was safe.

Jasmine made her way through the Slytherin carriage, successfully avoiding Pansy and walked through to the Hufflepuff carriage where she saw the back of Hannah's head talking to Susan and Megan.

Jasmine opened the compartment door and watched as Hannah's eyes lit up as she saw the girl.

"Jas!" Hannah screeched as she stood up and engulfed the girl in a hug, Jasmine laughed as she hugged the girl just as tight. They pulled away from the hug, Susan and Megan quickly jumping in and engulfing the girl.

"So tell us! how was the wedding, Mrs Malfoy" Megan said, raising her eyebrows and smirking as she spoke.

"it was nice, I just wish you guys could've been there" Jasmine sighed, resting her head on Hannah's shoulder. She had decided it was best to leave out the part that Voldemort had paid them a visit and was requesting children.

"what was the colour theme?" Susan asked, and Jasmine smiled at the memory. "Green and silver, Slytherins colours of course. I knew they wouldn't incorporate any yellow into it." Jasmine said, rolling her eyes at the yellow comment.

"I bet it was still beautiful" Susan sighed dreamily, causing the other girls to laugh at her.

"do tell, did you consummate the marriage?" Megan whispered, mindful of the people around.

Jasmine went bright red at this, she wanted to curl up in a ball and have the ground swallow her up whole.

"since when were you so traditional?" Hannah laughed, causing Megan to swat her away.

"Don't try and help her by changing the subject" Megan gave Hannah a look, who just laughed in response.

Susan however, didn't miss the fact that Jasmine was mortified and bright red at the question.

"oh my merlin! You did! Was that your first time?" Susan squealed in excitement. Jasmine looked to Hannah for help but she only shrugged in response.

"guys do we have to? like right now? I'm still getting used to my last name not being Nott anymore I don't really want to talk about my sex life on a train" Jasmine cried, pushing her head into her hands in embarrassment.

"I mean that answer is good enough for me, for now. I will get more out of you Jasmine" Megan gleamed in excitement. Jasmine rolled her eyes and just leant into Hannah. She had missed her best friend a great deal, but to be honest she just wanted to curl up in bed with Draco.

She felt as though it would be weird to sleep in a bed without Draco, and how was she supposed to get pregnant if they couldn't share a bed. Surely they couldn't keep going to the room of requirement.

They made their way to the castle after the train had got into the station, and had made their way to the hall for the feast. Jasmine was tired, to say the least.

Draco watched her as she sat looking bored and played with her food. He knew how terrified she was, and she knew how terrified he was, they only wanted to protect each other.

He needed to get this task over and done with, if not for his sake, for hers. He was also stressed about not sharing a bed with her. He had grown accustomed to the way her body moulded into his when they slept and the way she made tiny noises when she slept, or when she would turn and cuddle in to him, her face nuzzling into his chest or in the crook of his neck.

She was the only solace he got from the stress of this task, and he had to keep her safe. He was also worried about getting her pregnant. Because what would he do to them if they didn't get pregnant on time? But then part of him relished in the idea of getting her pregnant and having a child with her.

She was the love of his life and he wanted nothing more than a family with her, but he too didn't want a child growing up in the world they were currently living.

After the feast, Jasmine walked with her friends back down to the dungeons, Draco catching her just before she crawled through the Hufflepuff entrance.

"Jas!" He called after her, she looked up at him and smiled, standing back up and walking towards him.

"hey" Jasmine said as he placed his hands on her waist. "you okay?" Jasmine asked the boy in front of her, pulling him to the side of the corridor so they were out of the way of wandering students.

"Yeah, you?" Draco asked her and she nodded in response. "already being bombarded with questions about the wedding" Jasmine laughed a little, causing a smile to twitch up on Draco's face.

"what kind of questions?" Draco quizzed, pulling her closer by the hips. "oh you know, about the decorations and such. Megan wanted to know if we'd consummated the marriage" Jasmine rolled her eyes at the memory of how desperate Megan was to know about it.

"Oh really. Your friends are rather inquisitive aren't they?" Draco chuckled, "I didn't tell them anything, I think how embarrassed I got gave me away though" Jasmine bit her lip, her cheeks flushing once more.

"well, we can go and relive the consummation now if you want?" Draco asked, his eyebrow raised. "Are you mad? We can't right now" Jasmine slapped his shoulder lightly.

"if we get caught-" Jasmine began to continue but Draco cut her off, "I'm kidding Jas. Whenever you want, I'll be waiting" Draco winked and Jasmine rolled her eyes. She liked it when Draco was being playful. It was a nice change compared to when he was serious and scared.

"I should probably go, I'm not particularly looking forward to sleeping without you tonight" Jasmine pouted and Draco sighed, feeling the same. "I know, neither am I. I love you though, know that." Draco told her and she nodded.

"I love you, too" Jasmine replied, pressing a kiss on his lips and walking away from him. "sweet dreams, Jas" Draco told her as she knelt down to get through the entrance to the common room.

"Sweet dreams, Draco"
