JASMINE CLUNG TO DRACO as they apparated to Hogwarts. They got to the hill looking over Hogwarts where other death eaters stood, Voldemort standing at the front of the crowd, Bellatrix rushing to be by his side.
Jasmine took in the sight of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The school she loved so much. The school she had called home for six years. Jasmine wanted nothing more than for this war to have never have happened.
She wanted to be sat next to Hannah in Herbology, with Megan and Susan sat in front of the pair, gossiping and occasionally turning around to tell Jasmine and Hannah a new rumour they had heard.
She wanted Justin and Ernie to be sat beside them, laughing at the girls as they came up with ridiculous theories about how McGonnagal and Dumbledore were in love and had been having an affair.
Jasmine wanted to go back to when everything was simpler and she would pretend not to feel Draco's eyes on her as she tried to get on with her studies. She wanted Theo, Draco and Blaise to annoy her whilst she was trying to write a potions essay.
She wanted so desperately for Daphne to tell her about the dates she had been going on to divert from the fact that she fancied Theo.
Jasmine wanted nothing more than to sit in the hufflepuff common room with Loki, a book and a steaming cup of tea by the fire. The warmth she felt in that common room was so enticing. The only time she had felt it outside of the common room was when she was with Draco.
She loved her unborn child, and she wouldn't change being pregnant for anything, she had just wished it was under different circumstances.
She wished to have graduated hogwarts, for her and Draco to have settled into a house of their own. One that would be full of love, and wouldn't be like anything Draco had grown up in.
Whilst Jasmine and Draco had grown up in almost identical settings and circumstances, Jasmine had her brother. Whilst Draco had no one, just his parents. Narcissa had tried to sway Lucius in the direction of being loving towards his son, but had not succeeded.
She wished for their children to have both their parents present. For them to call her and Draco 'mummy' and 'daddy'. For them not to grow up to believe that they had to fight and bully their way through life in order to get their parents approval.
Most of all, she wanted her family to be happy and healthy. They weren't really living at the moment, they were surviving and Jasmine prayed to Merlin himself that Harry Potter and his friends had a plan to defeat Voldemort. So that her unborn child would know a different life.
Jasmine, Theo, Draco and their parents stood at the back of the crowd of death eaters. They watched as Hogwarts made a barrier, so that nobody could get into the castle in order to begin fighting.
