THIRTY

JASMINE AND DRACO HAD BEEN INSEPARABLE OVER THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD, as one could imagine after their wedding.

The wedding reception was lovely, although Jasmine wished Hannah could have been there. Daphne had happily fulfilled the role of best friend who understood what was going on however.

Professor Snape had even been at the wedding, which Jasmine thought was very weird, but given the connections he had to both the Malfoy's and being Draco's godfather it wasn't weird at all.

Jasmine's favourite part of the wedding however was the night, when she and Draco got to be alone together, without any interruptions. The night was perfect and everything she had ever imagined of a wedding night.

Christmas had been nice, although felt weird without Draco's father being there. Although she knew it would only be a matter of time before he got out of Azkaban.

They had tried their very hardest to enjoy their time together before the day came. The day that Theo would get the dark mark.

You-Know-Who would be coming to Malfoy Manor. Draco had begged Jasmine's father to let him take her else where, but the answer was no, in fear that the dark lord may want her too. They knew that if he wanted her they wouldn't be able to stop it.

Although, he had agreed to let Jasmine stay in Draco's bedroom whilst You-Know-Who was in the manor, which was now their bedroom. Jasmine found this odd but also embraced it. Eventually the two were to get a house of their own but for now whilst they were still going to school, it only seemed right for them to remain at a parents house.

Draco had promised Jasmine he would stay with her whilst You-Know-Who was in the manor, so that she wouldn't have to be alone. Of course if he was called he would have to go. Although Draco had hoped that he would be so focused on Theo that he wouldn't think about Draco.

The day came and Jasmine got ready just in case he requested her presence. She was trembling and couldn't imagine how her brother had been feeling.

Draco was sat on his bed whilst Jasmine was brushing her hair at the vanity, whilst Loki purred at the bottom of the bed when Theo had knocked on the door.

Jasmine shot up to open it, she still hadn't gotten used to using magic outside of school, she felt like she was doing something wrong.

Once she saw that it was Theo she jumped into his arms, engulfing him in a hug and pulling him into the room, Draco standing up behind the siblings.

"how are you feeling?" Jasmine asked as she pulled away from the hug, but mentally slapped herself. "Sorry, stupid question"Jasmine blurted out after realising what she had said.

"I'll be fine, it's just a mark" Theo brushed off, but both she and Draco could see that he was lying.

"I love you, T" Jasmine said, clearly terrified for her brother, "I love you too, Jas" he replied, his tired eyes looking back up at the girl.

Theo hugged his sister once more and Draco shook his hand, a sincere look on his face. Draco had been through this already and so gave him a look of encouragement.

Theo left the bedroom, shutting the door behind him, leaving Jasmine and Draco alone once more.

Jasmine and Draco stayed in their bedroom together, Draco holding her close to his chest as they heard the scream of her brother as the dark mark was branded into his skin.

Jasmine squeezed her eyes shut, her head spinning at the feeling of her brother being in pain. Jasmine was sure it was a twin thing. They couldn't exactly feel each others pain, but they could feel when the other was in pain. It was hurting Jasmine's heart more than anything.

After a while the screams stopped and Jasmines heart stopped hurting as such, but it did ache for her brother.

Minutes had passed when Draco hissed in pain, holding his forearm. Jasmines eyes widened as he clutched his forearm, "What does it mean?" Jasmine asked, terrified as to why her husband was in pain. "He's calling us" Draco said, his face pale. "y-you mean, you and I?" Jasmine stuttered out, her hands trembling once more.

Draco looked at her, dread all over his face.

"I'll stay with you the whole time, I'll try and make sure he doesn't mark you, I promise" Draco told her, placing a kiss to her forehead. She nodded, Draco taking her hands in his, the pair making their way downstairs and into the drawing room of Malfoy Manor.

"Don't speak unless he speaks to you" Draco told her and she nodded in response, not trusting her voice at this point.

They walked into the drawing room, Draco holding her hand tight, Jasmine saw her brother clutching his arm, her father and Narcissa stood to the sides, with Lord Voldemort and his snake stood in the centre of the room.

"Ahh, here come the newly weds" He practically hissed, he was absolutely terrifying, he didn't even look human, nor did he have a nose.

"My lord" Draco spoke up. "How is your task coming along, Draco?" He asked, Jasmine could feel that Draco was nervous to tell him that he had not yet succeeded, "I am on track for it to be completed this term" Draco answered, this seemed to satisfy him enough for him to drop the subject.

"I expect good things from you, Draco. Better things than from your father" He said, almost pacing the room, this was absolutely terrifying.

"yes, my lord" Draco responded with a nod, the group in silence, everyone scared to say anything.

"I expect lots of pure-blooded children from the two of you" He then said and both Draco and Jasmine nodded in response.

"yes, my lord" Draco replied for her, she was thankful for it. She felt as if her legs would give way at any second and Draco's hand was the only thing stopping that.

"My my Theodore, she does look like Olivia, doesn't she" He said again, Jasmine almost flinching at the mention of her mothers name.

"Yes, she does, my lord" Her father spoke up this time. Jasmine was almost crying at this point. How could he have known her before Jasmine and Theo had the chance too.

"I want your task to be completed by the next time I see you, and within the next year and a half, Jasmine will be pregnant with a pureblooded heir" He then spoke, Jasmine and Draco nodding again, "yes, my lord" Draco answered for her again.

He seemed pleased with the answer, and then apparated without another word.

Everyone in the room seemed to let out a breath they hadn't realised they were holding.

Jasmine was crying, she was terrified, what if she couldn't get pregnant? what would happen then, would he kill her? she didn't want her child to grow up in a world like the one she was living. She was just relieved he hadn't marked her.

Draco wrapped his arm around her waist as he felt her go weak beside him.

He so badly wanted to spare her from this.
