TWENTY EIGHT

JASMINE HAD RETURNED TO HER DORMITORY high on life that night. She and Draco had done well not to have been caught out of bed after curfew.

They had spent hours together in the room of requirement, just relishing in one another's company. Jasmine had always hoped that would love whoever she was to marry, and counted herself lucky that this was the case for her.

Jasmine had managed to creep inside her dormitory unheard. She slipped out of her dress and into an old t shirt, moving to the bathroom to rid herself of her makeup.

Jasmine was practically glowing as she looked at herself in the mirror. The ache between her thighs a reminder of the night she'd had.

Needless to say, she slept very well that night.

As they boarded the Hogwarts Express home for Christmas, Jasmine couldn't deny she was nervous to go home. She was scared to see her father, scared for her brother and scared to get married.

She loved Draco, and wanted nothing more than to have his last name. But, she was terrified that because of the war that was undoubtedly going to happen, they wouldn't truly get to live their lives together happily.

Hannah had interrogated Jasmine about where she had been that night, but ceased discussions after Jasmine had confessed where she and Draco had been and what they had done.

Hannah knew Jasmine was happy, and she was happy for her. Hannah had no problem really with Draco, but she did fear for her best friend. Regardless of who Jasmines family was, she wasn't like them. Jasmine was kind, loyal, sweet, willing to help anyone in need and most of all she was gentle.

Hannah just hoped that those qualities would save her during all this, not make things worse for her.

Jasmine sat with Hannah and her friends for half of the journey back to Kings Cross station, as usual. Justin and Ernie were still ignoring her which made the ride awkward.

Jasmine felt relief as she left the Hufflepuff carriage, there was no longer nervousness in the air as she moved into the Slytherin carriage.

She spotted her brother, Draco, Blaise and Daphne sat in a compartment and smiled.

She moved into the carriage, sitting next to Draco, giving the group a smile as Draco slipped his hand into hers.

"Hey" Jasmine smiled at her friends as she sat down, the rest of the group greeting her.

"How you feeling about the wedding, Jas?" Daphne asked, she was clearly excited for the wedding, even if it hadn't been Jasmine's and Draco's choice.

"alright I suppose, I guess I'm just lucky we haven't had to plan any of it" Jasmine smiled, causing Daphne to laugh.

Theo looked awful, the bags under his eyes were horrific, and he looked pale. Jasmine was worried but knew exactly what was causing this. She wished she could take it all away from him.

"We're going to Malfoy Manor for Christmas, so don't expect to be going home" Theo told her and she nodded in response.

"Can I bring Loki?" Jasmine asked, looking up to Draco sat next to her, who was fiddling with Jasmine's engagement ring.

His lips crawled into a smile, something that his friends noticed only ever happened around Jasmine, "Yes, of course you can bring Loki" Draco told her, looking down to see the black cat purring in Jasmines lap. Draco didn't think many things were cute, Jasmine being one of those rare things he thought was cute. Seeing the love she had for her cat was also one of the things he thought was cute.

"So, who's giving you away?" Blaise asked, clearly curious as to what was going to happen on the day.

"I would assume my father, but I wouldn't mind it if it were Theo" Jasmine shrugged. She wasn't lying. Her brother had always been there for her, through everything. As well as the fact they were twins, that she felt held a deeper connection than what she and her father had.

"you'd actually want me to give you away?" Theo looked up at her. Jasmine nodded, "of course I would. You're my twin brother, and I feel like you've seen me through more than what our father has" Jasmine shrugged again, Theo seemed touched at her statement. The first glimmer of emotion appeared in his eyes that she had seen in days.

"Nawwwh, aren't they cute" Blaise ruined their moment, causing Daphne and Jasmine to laugh at the boy.

Wizarding weddings were much different to muggle weddings, but also very similar.

The couple made vows to one another, except these vows were sealed by magic, as well as kisses. They also signed legal documents, but these were signed with quills that had magic flowing through them. Their wedding was to be very high status and respectable, considering it was the coming together of two very powerful pureblooded families.

As they pulled into the station, Draco didn't let go of Jasmines hand as they got off the train to greet their families.

Jasmines father was stood with Draco's mother, whom also looked extremely tired as they got a closer look.

Narcissa's tired eyes beamed at the sight of Draco and Jasmine holding hands, she was pleased that the marriage whilst it being arranged was to be one full of love.

The three teenagers greeted their parents half heartedly. How could they greet them with happiness given everything that was going on. Their father looked so unwell, Jasmine and Theo sharing a look as they took in their fathers demeanour.

"I've missed you, daddy" Jasmine hugged her father, letting go of Draco's hand momentarily to embrace him.

Hugs were something her father rarely did now, she was half expecting him to push her off him. But he didn't. This hug wasn't full of as much love as she was hoping, but she took it.

"I've missed you too" Her father spoke as she pulled away. Narcissa immediately pulling her in for a hug as she did so.

"how has this term been?" Narcissa asked the three teenagers who all nodded in response. "Fine" Draco spoke as he placed his hand back into Jasmines.

They conversed a little for a while before they decided it would be best to go back to Malfoy Manor.

Jasmine's father held his arm out for the group to disapparate back to the manor. Jasmine hesitantly took his arm, preparing for the horrific feeling of apparating.

Jasmine felt the all too familiar feeling of being sucked, twisted and squished, and then landing on solid ground.

Jasmines face was green as she landed, stumbling and holding onto Draco's hand tightly.

Theo chuckled as he saw his sisters face, he couldn't understand how she still hadn't gotten used to it.

"shut up" Jasmine mumbled as her brother only chuckled more.

They got into the manor, walking into the main living room.

"Your luggage is already upstairs, Draco, take Jasmine on up" Narcissa told Draco and he nodded, pulling Jasmine along with him.

Jasmine followed the boy she was so helplessly in love with up the stairs and into his bedroom, where her luggage was, along with Loki. Loki had already made herself comfortable by lying at the foot of Draco's bed, it was cute.

"my mother thought it would be more suitable for the two of us to be sharing a room now. If you're not comfortable with it I can get the other room made up-" Draco rambled, clearly nervous. Jasmine shook her head, cutting the boy off. "Draco, it's perfect" She breathed out, Loki jumping onto the bed and making herself feel more comfortable.

Draco seemed to relax, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her into hug him.

"I'm gonna look after you, I promise" Draco said into her hair, holding her tight.
