THINGS HAD GONE RATHER WRONG FOR DRACO, Harry Potter and his friends ended up going to the ministry of magic to save his godfather, and Draco's father had shown up, fighting on behalf of You Know Who. He was sent to Azkaban, convicted of treason against the ministry. It had hit Draco hard.
Draco and his mother had attended the trial, Jasmine couldn't imagine how awful it must have been for him. The daily profit had also been writing stories about the Malfoy family, saying they had fallen from grace and such. Which was not true. They had enough money to buy Azkaban themselves.
Jasmine and Theo were lucky that their father had not been there, because if he had, they'd be orphans and would have no parent.
For this reason, Draco became rather distant to everyone. Everyone except Jasmine. He was writing to her much more often, and wanted to see her all the time. But the situation with You-Know-Who was dangerous.
They had seen each other quite a lot over the holidays, only ever meeting at the Nott mansion. Jasmine had secretly hoped that he would kiss her, but due to them always being interrupted, they hadn't kissed. Jasmine was getting quite fed up of it now, it was annoying her that her brother had always walked in, or her father called them downstairs.
It was near the end of the summer holidays when the twins' father called them down to the drawing room having received their O.W.L results in the post. Both Jasmine and Theo shared nervous looks as they made their way down the stares.
"Who's shall I open first?" Their father asked and Jasmine looked to Theo with scared eyes.
"well obviously Jasmines, she's going to get the best results" Theo rolled his eyes playfully and gave her a nudge. Their father did as Theo requested and opened hers first. She knew she would have done well, but not as well as she actually did, the letter read.
