I stood back looking at a heroin needle. It was half used. Or at least i think. I didn't want to touch it but I decided to pick it up an place it in the back of the drawer where it was. The Ritalin pill bottle was still on the floor next to me. I decided to pick it up and place it in my back pocket.
I then closed the drawer and walked away. There were so many things on my mind at that exact moment. All I knew is that Ritalin was a new perscribed drug used for depression. But Soda doesn't seem un happy at all. I decide to take the bottle out of my back pocket. I sit down on the couch turning on the lamp next to me.
I scan the bottle and on why he needed it. I tried to look every where on the bottle. The top, Sides, Bottom, Label, Experation date, and even the small print on the bottle. But nothing.
It has been a while since Soda has left. Before I didn't mind. But now it was totally dark outside, and I actually felt scared. I kept on hearing things outside. Especially against the walls. I felt really insecure, and felt like someone was in the cabin. I kept on looking over to the kitchen and the bedroom.
3 hours later of being scared and I finally hear someone at the door. Soda comes in through the door smelling like alcohol and cigarettes. I clenched my hand on the pill bottle and walked over to him. As he was about to close the door behind him.
" where have you been? " Soda closes the door and looks at me. He points his finger near my face and says. " i don't care what you think. I'm going to bed." I was totally confused and disgusted off the way he talked to me. I push his hand out of my face and then he walks to the bedroom. I didn't get the chance to ask him about the pills. I figured I'd ask him in the morning if I don't forget.
I decided to stay on the couch in the living roo. I couldn't sleep at all. And the only things I had on my mind throughout the night was Harlow, Steve, ponyboy, and Two-bit. But not Soda. Why...?
