"Dot, you coming down for dinner"
Rina shouted along the hall.
Her daughter was laying in bed and had been for the last few hours. Rina thought she might of caught something off the plane when dianne came over from England.
"No, I still dont feel very well"
Dianne tried to shout back but Rina couldn't hear her voice so walked into diannes bedroom seeing her youngest child wrapped under a duvet and covered in blankets despite it being extremely hot.
"Awww, dot still don't feel very well?"
Rina asked
"No ,I feel even worse than I do earlier. Do I have temperature?"
Dianne was 29, now definitely an adult but still loved the feeling of being looked after when she was poorly. With her boyfriend being thousands and thousands of miles away, her mum had taken on the role of looking after her. Dianne lived it though,she felt like a kid again.
"You do darling, you had a temperature earlier too. What exactly is wrong? Is it a sick feeling? Any part of your body hurting or is it cramps? Maybe a cold? "
"Bit of everything ma, feel all different kind of things "
"Oh dot, this is not good is it. You know I still think you picked up something from the plane. Do you have any idea of what it could be?"
Rina asked. She still hadn't clocked on to the fact dianne was showing very mild pregnancy symptoms, and neither had dianne. She knew she was due in her period soon and with pregnancy symptoms and period symptoms being similar, dianne knew it was her body waening her she was soon going to be on her period.
"No idea mum, period maybe. But again ,could of picked something up from the plane and that combined with the heat isn't good."
She yawned
"Your tired dot, how about I go and put your dinner in fridge and you can come and eat it when you feel better. You get some sleep sweety, maybe even call that lovely boy of yours. I bet joe would want to know your not feeling very well"
Diannes mother suggested
"yeah thanks ma"
Dianne smiled pushing her head back into the pillow and bringing the duvet back up to her chest.
"I'll come and check on you soon my love, get some rest"
Rina smiled at her little girl ,who was not so little anymore, but was still her baby.
She wondered over to her husband sat at the table which looked so empty without any of their children around it. Even though andrew and Brendan would be joining them tomorrow with their other halves and the grand kids, the table somewhat felt empty. Dianne not being there with them felt weird. Even though she only came home for Christmas so they were used to not having her there it still felt weird as this was usually an opportunity for them to just spend together, but dianne was down the hall layed in bed, feeling so under the weather which was very unlike her.
"That girl isn't very well "
Rina told her husband
"Poor thing, she isn't usually Ill is she?"
"No usually but when she is, she gets hit hard. I think the fact that she feels unwell so near to Christmas is making her feel more Ill and then being so far away from joe is probably playing in her mind. "
"I bet , them two have been glued at the hip these last 3 months with the show and everything else and then becoming a couple. I bet she misses him alot at the moment with being sick"

"Of course, she looked after joe when he had a bit of a bug so shes probably just wanting him right now. Poor baby, cant imagine how she feels right now being poorly, away from her boyfriend, having a temperature and not being able to eat because she feels to sick "
