I asked a few people if I should put a trigger warning on this and they said yes but I really don't know what to write for a trigger warning. It's more of a deep talk warning. dont think it will affect anyone as it's something most of us girls go through and theres nothing bad in this but I'm going to put it on anyway just incase. But I do get some people might not wanna read this because it could gross them out but its natural so we dont need to feel embarrassed about something like this, especially us girls.
It was a friday evening and normally straight after work dianne would go to ber boyfriends apartment to spend the weekend with him but this evening she had a doctors appointment straight after work so was heading to Joe's after that. It was just a general checkup however it was the first one since she got with joe so there was a few more questions she needed to answer and more things the doctor needed to check up on, the more sexual kinda things but she didnt mind as they were all natural.
Now she had just arrived at Joe's to spend the weekend with him, like they did every week.
"Joey, its me"
Dianne let herself into his apartment with the key he gave her at the start of their relationship. They got together 6 months ago and dianne always let herself in if she ever wanted to see him during the week because she had a day off work or she was just lonely.
"Alright?"
Joe's said in a west country accent appearing in the hallway. Dianne giggled at the funny voice he put on and then walked up to him.
"Yeah I'm good"
She wrapped her arms around him and pressed a soft but passionate kiss on his lips
"I missed you"
He stroked her hair
"I missed you too, how are you?"
Dianne asked him
"Good, same as always. How was the doctors?"
He asked
"It was ok, not the best thing but thats just standard, nobody likes the doctors do they"
Dianne said walking into the kitchen grabbing a bottle of sparkling water from the fridge. Joe always let her help herself to anything at his and always stocked up on sparkling water because he knew it was diannes favourite.
"Hows your week been? Work stressful?"
Dianne was a hairdresser but didn't work for a company or anything. It started off as a Facebook page and people would message her asking if she could come and do their hair so she was self employed and alot of the time got very busy.
"Yeah really busy this week but I like it being busy I dont have to sit around and get bored "
She told him
"That's good, now I you're off we can just have a nice relaxing weekend. Just me and you"
Joe smiled and dianne smiled back at him
"Oh...I need to talk to you about something actually. Like its something serious, not too serious but you can't tale it as a joke"
She said
"Ok, come and sit down"
Joe took a seat on the bar stool and dianne followed sitting on the one next to his.
"What do you want to talk to me about?"
Joe said softly
"About the doctors, when I went today"
She started
"Oh is there something wrong? Are you ok?"
Joe asked
"Yeah everything's fine, nothings wrong, I just wanted to ask you about something."
"You can ask me anything. What is it?"
Joe smiled
"well it was just at the doctors today, normal checkup and she was asking me you know the normal questions and was asking if I was sexually active. I wasn't gonna lie to my doctor so of course I said and because I said no when I had my last checkup she was asking if I had a boyfriend and I was telling her about you and how long we've been together and shes suggested that I go on the pill but I said I'll think about it because I wanted you get your opinion on it first"
She explained to him
"Why do you wanna get my opinion on it?"
He asked
"Because it's not me....its me and you together. A condom isn't going to project us from everything. I could still get pregnant so I'm thinking about it but I want to ask you first because its you who I'm doing this with. The doctor didn't suggest it to stop period pains she suggest it to reduce the risk of getting pregnant."
Dianne told him
"But it's your body so if you want to you can, I'm not going to stop you. You can go on it or come off it whenever you want, I dont mind if you're taking birth control or not. So really it's up to you, of course I'd want to know but you dont need to ask me"
He said
"Sure?"
Dianne asked him
"Of course I am. If you wanted to take it I'd say it was ok and if you didn't it would still be fine. It's your body and you do what with it, now that you're with me doesnt mean I'm sharing your body and I make your bodies decisions you do what you want. Do you want to go on the pill or not?"
He told her
"I dont know I think it's best I do because you never know what could happen, don't want any mini Suggs running around"
She giggled
"Yeah me neither. So you are going to get it"
He made sure
"Yeah definitely think I'm going to get it as long as your ok with me on it"
Dianne said
"Of course I am dianne, what have I told you. Its your decision"
He told her
"Joseph your too cute. Thank you for actually understanding"
"I would always understand it baby"
Joe stood up hugging her
"Gosh I love you to bloody pieces"
Dianne whispered resting her head on his chest.
I don't know how I feel about this one. I like it but hate it, abit like marmite 😂
