It was a friday and for paisley, joe and diannes 6 year old little girl it was the start of a weekend. She had 2 days off school before sue had to go back to school on monday and she was very excited as her mum, dianne, had promised to take her bowling however dianne now had different ideas.
A few hours ago she had to book last minute flights for her, joe and paisley to Australia after the sad news of her dad passing away had finally reached them. He had a pretty unexpected heart attack and unfortunately they couldn't save mark so dianne had to fly out immediately. But this meant joe and Dianne had to explain to their 6 year old where they were going and what had happened to her pop. Paisley was sure going to be upset if she understood what had happened as she had a close relationship with mark. They would facetime every day before paisley went to school and always had done even before she started school they would facetime when she was a toddler.
When mark met his granddaughter 6 yesra ago for the first time, he let a few tears fall from his eye. It really hit him that his only baby girl now had her own baby girl. And both of the girls were in the arms of the guy mark respected the most,joe, his son in law. He was so happy first of all seeing his daughter in a committed relationship where she wa so happy and then for her to get married to him and have a little girl together was just the icing on the cake.

As soon as paisley walked through the door from school she ran into the living room seeing her mum. She was sat on the floor with an open suitcase packing their clothes in flressy for their flight which was tomorrow.
"Mummy are we going on holiday?"
Paisley jumped up and down in excitement thinking they were going somewhere for the weekend.
"No, well were going away but not on a holiday baby. If daddy goes and help you get changed out of your uniform, I'll be done by the time you come back downstairs. "
She said. Joe took his daughter by the hand and took her upstairs to her bedroom. Her bedroom was the cutest. It was rainbow pastel colours and cloud themed and paisley loved it.
"We might aswell get you straight into your pyjamas darling"
Joe said smoothing out his daughters ling blonde hair. Ahe ahd the same colour hair as he did when he was the same age as her, if not it was even lighter. She didnt have one little bit of diannes natural brown hair on her head. Both joe and dianne loved her long blonde shining hair.
When they found out they were having a girl, Dianne let joe practice different hairstyles on her hair so that he'd know how to do hair when once their daughter grew hair ling enough to put up into different styles. He also learnt how to do things the girl way, now loving with 2 of them as there was no chance of them having a boy, or another baby at all. They wanted at least 3 children but it never really worked out for them however it did bring them both closer to paisley and joe really didn't mind having 2 girls. He loved it really and would never let anything happen to either of them.
He picked out a pair of pyjamas for paisley to change into, they had llamas on them and was a pair he actually brought himself for her.
"There we go, we can go and speak to mummy now"
He picked her up telling he back downstairs to dianne who had finished packing. Joe sat down on the sofa putting paisley next to him.
"Right pais"
Dianne turned to her. Joe reached round paisley to reach for diannes arm. He rubbed her shoulder as be knew this would be hard for her to explain. Even talking about it made her cry.
"Your not going to school for two whole weeks. We have to go to Australia tomorrow because... somethings happened to pop"
Dianne started
"Did he burn himself on the coffee again?"
Paisley asked remembering last Christmas where mark spilt a cup of hot coffee on his arm by accident.
"No not quite sweetie. Pops died "
Dianne let the words escape from her mouth.
"So will I not see him ever again?"
The little girl was taking this seriously and obviously fully understood.
"No you wont beable to see him, but he will beable to see you because hes gone to a very special place in the sky to be with the angels"
She said
"How can he see me?"
She asked
"Pop can look down on you from heaven and see what your doing. He's going to look over all of us to make sure were ok and happy. And he will make sure I'm protecting you and mummy "
Joe joined in
"Daddy's right pais. Hes going to be looking over us all to make sure were alright. And he's going to pray for you in heaven. He's going to pray that you have a good day, have a good sleep, that you grow up, that you meet a boy who treats you the same way your dad treats me. He always said you acted like me so he will be there paisley looking down on you"
Dianne said
"Ok I understand.....do you get to see nanna in Australia?"
The little girl asked
"You'll see nanna but remember she'll be very upset because she was married to pop. You know how mummy and daddy are married and love eachother very much, thats how nanna feels about pop. She loved him very much and now shes left without a husband so be nice to her ok "
Joe said
"I will be nice to nanna. And I will give her big hugs "
Paisley told her parents
"That's good sweetheart, I'm sure she'll want lots of hugs. Now we got to go to bed early tonight because we're going on a plane tomorrow "
Joe told her
"Ok I'll go to bed early "
Paisley said
"Come here you two. My two favfavourite girls in this whole world"
Joe pulled his daughter and wife into a hug, pressing a soft kiss to both if their foreheads.
So I managed to get onto here eventually but it's still not letting me wrote on you,me and our crazy minds. Please go and read prince charming if you haven't already as its letting me write that book.
