"Are you sure you're both going to be okay?"
Joe asked his girlfriend who was heading out for the very first time on her own with their 5 week old son, leo. She was going to her best friends Amy's house as she hadn't met leo yet but joe had to stay behind to catch up on some work he had missed from being a new dad the past month.
"Of course I will joey, you dont need to worry. Amy will look after me for the next couple of hours"
Dianne told him
"But it's the first time you're going without me and I'm worried"
He said
"Joey we will be fine. And I know what your worried about, its leo isnt it you dont want to leave him"
Dianne suggested
"Yeah, I dont want to leave him, I just get really overprotective and if something was to happen I'd never forgive myslef for not going with you."
Joe told his girlfriend
"You're adorable. And anyway nothing will happen I'm sure of it."
Dianne assured him
"Ok, have you got everything? Have you got Leo's bottle? Are you ok to drive, I can take you if you want"
About a month before falling pregnant, dianne passed her ul driving test. She was panicking alot about ti but joe managed to convince her that if they were trying to have children it would better if they both can drive. It would be more easy for when they start school.
"No its fine, I'll drive. I've got everything not a bottle, I'll just breast feed him, I'm sure amy wont mind"
She told him
"Ok, stay safe beautiful. I'll miss you"
He put his arms around her, give her a bug bear hug.
"I'll miss you too, everything will be fine and I'll text you if I need you or anything."
Dianne said
"Ok, drive safety, I love you"
He smiled pressing a soft kiss to diannes lips
"I love you more, I'll be back around 6ish."
She said
"Ok, bye dotty"
He stood by the door and waved her off as she walked to the car, holding leo in his car seat.
"Bye jospeh"
She blew a kiss to him and strapped Leo into the car. She waved back to joe who was still stood there and the car slowly drove off out of sight.

Dianne knocked on the door of Amy's house and immediately she answered it. She was eagerly awaiting her best friend and her new baby.
"Dianne, how are you?"
Amy out one arm around her friend hugging her being careful of the tiny baby in the car seat dianne was holding in her other arm.
"Amazing, are you good?"
Dianne said
"Of course I am, let's see little leo"
Amy's welsh accent was just the same as dianne remembered it to be.
"Dianne, hes even more cuter in real life. Hes beautiful. He in the world did you make a baby so beautiful?"
Amy gushed looking at him
"I know I have to ask myslef that sometimes. He looks so much like joe, doesn't he"
Dianne said. Leo had fallen asleep in the car so dianne and amy could have a little catch up before he woke up to be fed.
"He does, come in anyway, do you want a tea or a coffee? Of something cold. I've got ice cold sparkling water, I know you love it"
Amy smiled
"Oh gosh, yes please, sparking water it is, you know me so well"
Dianne giggled
"So how's everything been? I know we've been texting but we can talk properly now"
Amy said
"Good, better than I thought I would be. It's just lovely having leo and it not just being me and joe, were a little family now"
She smiled
"Cute, Hows joe been with it all?"
Amy asked her best friend.
"Oh my god ames, he's literally smitten. I don't think have ever been more in love with him than I am right now"
Dianne told her
"Awww, dianne you're too cute. Hes attached to leo then?"
Amy said
"Yeah, he loves leo to absolute pieces. Honestly I feel like crying whenever I see them together it's so adorable. You should of seen joe this morning, he was worried about me leaving today to come and see you. Even though I'll only be a few hours, joe will get big separation anxiety from being away from leo"
Dianne said
"Adorable, I knew he would be an amazing dad from the moment you told me you were expecting"
Amy handed dianne her sparkling water.
"Thanks amy, yeah he is. He's so cute. Did I text you about the other morning?"
Dianne asked and amy shook her head
"Right so I woke up and leo or joe weren't there so I went downstairs and joe was making breakfast but he was holding leo against his chest singing all these little nursery rhymes to him whilst he was making himself a bacon sandwich and I just stood ther and watched for about ten minutes because it was so cute. "
Dianne told her
"Oh my goodness, he is smitten. And how do you feel? Like any better since after the birth"
Amy asked
"Yeah better now. All the pain has kind of eased off now but the first few weeks I felt like I was dying they were so bad"
Dianne said
"I know, you poor thing. It's good that your better now though"
Amy said
"Yeah, what time is it ames?"
"Just gone three, two minutes past to be exact"
Amy told her
"Ok, I'll have to wake him up then because I've got to feed him and afterwards you can have a cuddle."
Dianne said getting of her seat and kneeling down to Leo's car seat carefully undoing the straps.
"Hello little one"
Dianne cooed. She had the sweetest baby voice you ever did hear. She was smitten too. So in live with her little baby boy.
"Oh di, those eyes. They're so blue"
Amy smiled
"I know, exactly like Joe's. Thats the one thing I wanted him to have of Joe's, his eyes but hes got all of his daddy's looks. Thats why hes so cute"
Dianne giggled
Dianne let leo latch on to her to drink some milk as he need it. Dianne would always get really bug anxiety if she didn't feed him at the right times.
"Has leo been sleeping ok?"
Amy asked
"Perfectly, all he does is sleep. And then of course gets cuddled and drinks milk. Hes just perfect with everything. Joe puts him to bed every night and is always done in about 5 minutes"
Dianne told her
"I bet joe loves that"
Amy smiled
"He does, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns around to me and says he wants another one in a few months time"
Dianne laughed
"He probably will knowing how much he loves leo"
Amy joined in laughing too with her best friend.
"I bet ya he will, I'll be eating for two again in no time"
Dianne giggled
"How many do you want?"
Amy asked her
"Joe wants 2, I want more but we'll be happy with whatever we get. I don't mind how many we have along as Joe's happy"
Dianne said
"Awwww its cute knowing you're a little family."
Amy smiled
After dianne fed leo and burped him amy could finally get a snuggle off the 5 week old baby.
"If he crys just stroke his nose for some reason he likes that"
Dianne handed her to amy.
"Aww dianne, I love him. Hes the cutest thing ever"
Amy cooed
"Thank you"
Dianne smiled
"Can I steal him?"
Amy laughed
"You definitely can when I need auntie amy to baby sit"
Disnne smiled. She knew her best friend would literally fall in love with her son and she did. She loved him.
