"Oh my god, as if?"
Disnne whispred passing around the ensuite bathroom.
"Can you believe it?"
Joe whispred too. They had to be quiet as it was late.
It was 1am, on Christmas day 2021 and everybody was asleep apart from joe and dianne. She had been struggling to get asleep as she had really bad back pain which had been keeping her awake and if she was awake so was joe. It didn't take her long to realise the back pains were caused because she had missed her period and of course the first thing that dawned on her was that she could be pregnant.
Once her and joe finished their tour, they sat down and talked about having kids and said they would start trying in late 2022, beginning of 2023 so in about a years time after dianne had finished strictly but they also said if anything did happen and dianne did fall pregnant before then that it would be ok and they wouldn't class it as a mistake or an accident. So in no means were they trying to get pregnant, it just happened.
Dianne always carried a little emergency bag with her everywhere she went and she always had the girly essentials in it, including a pregnancy test if she ever did need it in an emergency. So that's where she got the test from at this random hour Miles away from home. She obviously wanted to know as soon as possible so joe waited for her to do the test and it had just came back positive.
"Joey....."
Dianne threw her hands over her mouth
"We're having a baby"
She smiled putting one arm around him, as her other hand held onto the pregnancy test.
"I actually can't believe it dot"
Joe pressed a soft kiss to her temple
"I can't either. Do you think it was on date night we could of conceived?"
She asked him
"Probably, how far along does that make you?"
Joe asked
"Only about a week and a half "
She softly told him. He smiled throwing his arms around his girlfriend, swaying from side to side.
"They're tiny, are they even a baby yet? Or just a clump of cells"
Joe said and dianne giggled eyeing to keep quiet and not wake anyone up.
"Joe dont say that, it's our baby. Our own little one."
She smiled taking her hand putting it on Joe's, moving it to her stomach.
"It doesn't seem like much yet but theres a child inside me. We're gonna watch them grow in me, we'll have a little baby to look after. We're gonna raise them. Joseph, were gonna be parents. Isn't that amazing"
Dianne looked at his eyes
"Amazing. It's bloody life changing dianne. I'm so happy"
He kissed her lips passionately.
"Me too, I already cant wait and im only about a week, two weeks along"
"I cant wait either. Are you going to tell anyone whilst we're out here?"
He asked her. He knew it was unsafe to tell anyone about your pregnancy before 12 weeks. Even though alot of people did, 12 weeks was when your friends and family usually find out as something bad is most likely to happen in the first 12 weeks.
"I dont know. I'm still really early but I want to tell my mum. Shall I tell mum?"
She asked him
"Its up to you darling"
He told her
"Yeah I'll tell my mum. I cant wait to see her reaction. I think she'll be really happy. And then can we keep it from everyone else?"
Dianne said
"Of course if that's what you want. I love you so much"
He kissed her again
"Love you too"

It was early the next day and as he kids were exited to open their presnts everyone was up now sresses ready to start the day.
"Dot, are you going to come to the beach with us?"
Andrew ber older brother asked.
"No my back still hurts a bit"
Her back had been hurting all through the night so her and joe only got a few hours of sleep but they wer mainly awake from the amount of excitement. Joe ahd been holding a hot water bottle to diannes lower back all morning so everybody knew she was in pain and she had blamed it on being due on her period but that obviously wasn't the case.
"Joe, you coming?"
He asked him
"No, I'm gonna stay here and make sure dots ok"
Even though now the pain was manageable overnight joe had gotten a whole lot more protective even though dianne was in the very very very early stages of her pregnancy he was still going to get protective and wouldn't want her running along a beach when theres a baby trying to slowly grow inside of her even though it wouldn't really affect her this early on.
"Ok, see you both soon then. Mums staying here too dot, shes making breakfast whilst where out. "
Andrew toms them and headed out the door with everybody else apart from rina. As soon as they all left joe and dianne stood up going to their bedroom to devise a plan on how to tell rina. This was the perfect opportunity as nobody else would find out. They figured out a plan which would be just to tell her so after a little bit of panicking from dianne, joe took her hand and lead her back out into the kitchen where Rina was preparing a breakfast for the family.
"Mum, can me and joe talk to you for a minute?"
Dianne asked walking up to her. Joe held her hand so tight and she wouldn't let go.
"Of course dot, what is it?"
Rina put everything down wiping her hands with a tea towel.
"You know how my back hurts and I was telling you it's because I'm meant to be coming on my period in a few days"
Dianne started and Rina nodded
"I kinda lied to you"
Dianne told her
"Dianne, I always taught you never to lie, why did you do that?"
Rina asked her
"Because I'm pregnant"
She squeezed Joe's hand as it went quiet. Rina didnt say anything for a few seconds
"Oh dot......really? Are you?"
She asked
"Yeah mum, I really am"
Dianne told her
"Oh my goodness darling, that's amazing. Congratulations"
Rina wrapped her arms around her youngest child her only daughter.
"Thats why my back hurts. Its It's not really what I said"
Dianne said
"Congratulations joe, I knew you would give dot this, it's what shes always wanted to be a mum"
Rina smiled
"I know, she'd always talk about it"
Joe added
"How far along are you? You haven't got a bump yet"
Rina asked
"I'm really really early. Anywhere between 1 and 2 weeks"
Dianne told her mum
"Oh my gosh dotty, they must be tiny. How long have you known?"
"We literally found out at about 1am this morning. so you're the first to know and the only one to know for a while"
Joe told her
"I csnt believe it. My youngest baby is having her own baby. Both of you come her"
Rina wrapped her arms around them both, hugging her daughter and boyfriend. Joe wasn't just diannes boyfriend though he was part of their family and soon there would be a brand new member.
So I dont know about this one. Its quite similar to the first chapter but I still quite like this. I hope you liked it too.
