Joe had definitely become smitten since he met dianne. He had always let her stay round his house at the weekends, always had snacks in his kitchen ready for her stay and would take her out on cute little dates as much a possible. He had turned so soppy which he never thought would happen, especially with Dianne being his first girlfriend. Now being together 3 months, he was very much in love with her and she was very much in love with him and neither of them were afraid to hide that feeling, ever since joe first told her he loved her a few weeks ago.
It was a normal day for joe anyway, he was replying to emails and managing his company from his home office. He worked from home most of the time and owned his own company with his best mate caspar. They did have an office building but only one of them needed to really be there at once.
As Joe as replying to emails, the sound of his phone echoed through the room. He picked it up noticing his favourite contact poping up on the screen. His girlfriend dianne, who he had saved in his contact list as dotty with two pink heart emojis. One before the name and one after. He brought the phone to his ear and waited to hear the Australian voice he now knew very well.
"Joey, are you home?"
She didn't even say Hello. He could hear the sounds of loud traffic in the background.
"Yeah, you ok? Is everything alright?"
He asked her, instantly panicked by no Hello, how are you or anything like that.
"I don't know, can I come round to yours? Stay the night? I'll come straight from rehearsals"
She said. She had been dancing all day, training for a show she was taking part in, in a couple months time.
"Of course you can, your worrying me. Is everything ok? Your talking so quickly"
He said
"I'll just tell you when I get to you. See you soon jopseh. I'm about 20 minutes away"
She told him
"Ok, see you soon then. Love ya lots "
He smiled. He was still getting used to saying that and hearing that. It warned his heart everytime.
"Love you more "
Another sound echoed through the room, she had hanged up letting herself to get to him and see him in real life and not just have to listen to him through a screen. He was worrying about her. What if something bad had happened? If there was something wrong? He hoped she was ok. Well, he was always worrying about her even if she had messaged him to tell him she ahd gotten to work fine and was with her friends. He had gotten so overprotective and always wondered what she was doing. Not in a creepy way but in a way that he wanted to protect her and feared that she wasn't safe or something bad had happened to her.
Around 25 minutes later, dianne burst through the door of her boyfriends apartment. Hearing the sound, joe immediately got up from his office chair and wondered over to the front door where his girlfriend was fiddling with her fingers, looking nervous and quite scared.
"You ok dotty?"
Joe asked her but her response was just a shake of the head.
"Why, what's wrong?"
He said, but again there was no response. Dianne left wondering of into the kitchen and over to the fridge. She pulled out a bottle of sparkling water, taking a sip of it. Joe always had his fridge stocked with sparkling water as he knew it was diannes favourite so had it for whenever she spent the night at his.
"I've lost my job "
She burst out crying. Joe was shocked and all he could do was rush over to her and hug her.
"Shhh, why have you lost your job?"
He asked her
"I dont know. Lucie sacked me saying that I wasn't prepared enough to do this show. How an I not prepared joey? I've done tours all around the world. I've been on talent shows. I'm former Australian open champion. How am I not ready for it?"
She cried into his chest.
"I dont know how dot. I knew how much you were looking forward to it"
He said
"That doesnt matter joe. I'm worried that I wont enable to live. I wont beable to get food, I wont even beable to pay for electric. And that justs the start, I won't be able to pay my rent. I'm not only lost my job I'm gonna loose my flat too "
She told him
"Oh dot, it will be ok. I'll look after you and make sure your ok. You know your always welcome here, you can move in if you'd like. I know its still early but it would be better than getting into debt with your rent. "
He suggested. He always wanted her to feel at home here and for it to become her actual home would be amazing. It was going to now happen way earlier in their relationship as they thought but it didnt matter as joe hoped it could be a time where they could become closer and spent more time together falling more in love and getting more intimate.
"Really, you'd let me live here?"
Dianne asked. Joe nodded confidently
"Oh my god joe, I'd love to. Thank you, your honestly a life saver. Your gonna be my hero "
She threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly
"And I'll get you anything you need. If you need anything, food, toiletries, clothes. It's all of me "
He told her
"Honestly joe I dont deserve you. Thank you so much"
She smiled
"No problem di, its ok. It's amazing because now I get to wake up to your beautiful face each morning"
He smiled back at her
"Your so cute joey"
Dianne placed a soft lias onto his lips realising how lucky she really was.
This was so bad. I started writing this at 4am one morning and only just finished it off. It's my past favourite so far but I hope you guys liked it.
It was a bit shorter then usual too.
