Dianne walked from her bedroom to the living room in her 1 story apartment. Joe, her boyfriend, of 4 months, was staying the weekend..
Joe turned around when he heard Dianne walk into the room.

"Do you like this? Do you think it would look good on me?"
She held up a matching bra and knickers set in bright red colour, just like her hair. It was a little more extravagant than your every day stuff.

"....yeah....yeah it would....I like it"
Joe stuttered. Dianne took a deep breathe and walked over to him, sitting down next to him on the sofa.

"Are you ok? You've gone quiet"
She ran a hand through his hair

"Yeah, absolutely fine"
He smiled

"Good, do this is probably a good opportunity to say this. I've been wanting to ask you something for a little while now. Shall we talk now?"
She asked him and joe nodded

"Right so, we've known eachother for 6 months, officially together for just about 4 months now. We've achieved little relationship milestones. Like the first time we slept in the same bed, the first kiss, saying I love you and this is probably gonna sound so cringy joe but I brought that for you know that next step. Don't you think it's kinda time to maybe start getting that little bit closer in the bedroom. You know what I mean dont you"
She told him

"Yeah I get what you mean"
He said

"And what do you think about it? Obviously we'll use protection and if I need to.....I'll go on the pill. I'm happy with doing that, I've been on it before. what do you think joey?"
Dianne asked. It went quiet between them for a few seconds as joe tried to think of something to say.

"I don't know"
He shrugged and spoke quietly

"You can be honest. Tell me if you dont want to"
She said softly and it went quiet again

"I dont think I'm ready for that yet. Sorry baby"
He said quietly

"Why are you sorry?"
Disnne asked him

"Because I know you want it. You asked so you obviously want that to happen. I don't feel like a man. I'm acting like a child saying that I dont want to"
Joe told her looking at the floor feeling like he had disappointed her.

"No joe, of course you haven't. I would of been disappointed if you said yes when deep down you didn't want to.
It's good that you were honest with me and you dont need to feel ashamed or anything for not. It's your body and I'm not gonna make you do anything you dont want to do"
She told him

"Thank you"
He whispred

"Awwww Joseph come here"
Dianne pulled him closer to her and he rested his head on her chest whilst dianne ran her fingers through his hair.

"Is it jus that your not ready or is there something else stopping you? Are you worried about anything?"
Dianne knew talking it through would be the best thing. Whenever she got something off her mind by talking to people she felt way better afterwards.

"I'm just really insecure about my body really. Like the way I look, I hate it"
He muttered

"Awwww joey, you dont need to be baby. What is it exactly you dont like about your body?"
She asked him

"My weight. I'm stick thin, got the tiniest little abs that they make me look even skinnier. Small shoulders. Small arms. I have weak legs. I literally have the build of a 12 year old boy. Everything about myself I dont like"
Joe told her

"Why do you think that?"
Dianne asked calmly

"I don't know. Most girls go for people who are muscular and actually have legs. Probably somebody who plays a sport. Because most girls go for that, I get left out because I look like a stick that's how skinny I am"
He said

"Joe listen to me. Girls might go for the most manly, strongest looking guy but you dont know what's on the inside. That's why I started daiting you because as I got to know you I realised you were lovely, kind, caring, sweet. All these different kind of things."
Dianne explained to him

"But I still don't like how small I am. I'm so thin and not tall. "
Joe told her

"Joey. Please dont think that about yourself. I love your body shape and how skinny you are. I can fit my arms around you perfectly to give you cuddles and I can fit into your clothes. You dont need to be embarrassed about your body shape or your weight"
She said

"I know but I just don't like the way I am and it makes me worried for doing things like having sex because I shouldn't look like this. I should at least have so muscles but I don't"
He added

"I have insecurities too and just like you it's my weight. I'm skinny aswell. But I'm not worried for it because I know you love me and if you love me your not going to judge the way my body looks. Because the way you look doesnt matter, it's about their personality and the love you have for eachother "
Dianne explained

"I know but theres still that feeling there where I feel embarrassed to just take my clothes off because my abs are so unattractive and make me look even skinnier."
He said

"I love you so much jospeh Graham sugg. I'd never tell you your too skinny or your build is too small. And thats because I love you. You wouldn't make somebody you love feel even more insecure about their biggest insecuritie. Whether your big or small, skinny or fat I'm gonna love you no matter what "
She said

'"I'll love you no matter what too"
Joe told his girlfriend

"If you love me no matter what you wont care what my body looks like. Thats how I feel about you joe. I love you so much that it doesn't care to me. Do you feel a little better about it all now?"
Dianne asked

"Yes, thank you darling"
He smiled

"Its ok, you know you can talk to me about anything. Whether its something as deep as this or if its just something about a game your playing on your console thingy. I'm always here to talk to you"
She told him

"Love you"
He whispered

"I love you too"

So In the past I've done one shots like this and the majority of them, if not all of them are based around dianne being the insecure one. I wanted to do it from Joe's pov as hes a boy and boys think different to girls and we have different insecurities but we are all beautiful in our own way.
