"Hey mum, how are ya?" Zoe put her arms around her mother, hugging her tightly.
"I'm amazing zoe, how have you been?" Tracey asked her only daughter.
"I'm good as always, it's nice being back home" Zoe smiled as she stepped into her mums home, the same home she grew up in and would spend days playing games as a kid.
"Would you like a cup of tea? Your normal with 1 sugar" Tracey asked her
"Oh yes please mum" Zoe said as she made her way into the kitchen with her mum sitting at the table whilst tracey made them born their usual cup if tea. It was very usual zoe came and saw her mum as she was kind of the only family she had left. Her dad disappeared when she was too young to even remember. She had her one auntie and her grandparents and thats all the family she really around. She did have a brother and his name was joe, but that's a story for a little later.
"Here you go zoe, how have you been? What have you been up to lately?" Tracey sat down with her handing her a mug with the tea in it.
"Good, doing the usual, working, writing my blog, looking after nala" Zoe told her mum
"Good, hows your blog doing?" Tracey said
"Alright, I'm getting more and more reader so I guess Its going well. What have you been doing?" Zoe asked her
"Not much really, gardening and your brother came round last week. Alot has happened" Tracey told her
"Oh god, what he he done now?" Zoe took a deep breath waiting to hear what joe had been up to. About a year ago, Joe's mental health got increasingly worse, he felt so alone, so helpless, so stupid and his only way of coping was going out and doing bad things. Stuff like drinking, not going to work anymore and that was only the little things. He had done much worse. When zoe found out she was very upset her brother was feeling like this so tried to seak help for him but everytime she did he would refuse to get help and would get really angry at zoe. So they just decided maybe staying away from him would do him good, but zoe hadnt heard from him in about 9 months and if he had gotten worse she didn't want to hear from him.
"He doesn't want anyone to know really but hes getting his life back on track. Well I think he has got it all together now" Tracey told her
"Since when...." Zoe asked
"He's found this girl.....her names dianne and honestly zoe hes really fallen in love with her. I've never seen him so a happy" Tracey said
"have you met her then?" She asked
"Yeah she lovely. Shes definitely changed him. Joe's smitten, he couldn't take his eyes off her, he was asking if she was ok every 2 minutes. Like hes fallen hard" She said
"Have you got a picture of them?" Zoe asked and tracey got out her phone trying to find one to show zoe

"Oh yeah, he does look happy with her. I'm glad for him" Zoe smiled
"Awww zoe, you've missed your brother haven't you" Tracey said
"Yeah I really have, just seeing him so happy. I'm seeing the Joseph I know and love" Zoe got emotional
"I know, he's so happy with her. He really wants to actually settle down now that hes with Dianne. She changed him so much and he just doesn't want to do anything he was doing before because he knows it will upset her. And diannes such a nice girl, has such good ambitions in life, she has a good job. Everything that joe needs she has" Tracey told zoe
"Awww, bless him, he's turned into a right softie" Zoe giggled
"He has. He messaged me this morning saying he was doing well and that he was going to see her today, hes staying round her apartment tonight so at least we know tonight he'll be at his happy place with her. He can get abit lonely when hes on his own but now hes with her, I'll know hes ok" Tracey said
"They sound cute together" She smiled
"They are really cute. And diannes promised me that she'll look after him. Shes gotten really overprotective over him and stuff, its adorable. Joe said he has a funny feeling they'll be in it for the long term so that's nice"
"Adorable, I hope they do stay together because if she leaves god knows what Joe's gonna do next especially if he loves her this much" Zoe added
"Yeah, but I know they'll stay together. I just know, mothers instinct. They'll be moving in with eaxhotehe in the next few months I reckon" Tracey told her
"Amazing....maybe if I facetimed him through your phone do you think he would talk to me?" Zoe asked
"I don't see a reason why he wouldn't. Now hes happy again he might feel sorry for getting into all those arguments with you. You can certainly try. Do it now if you'd like" Tracey handed zoe her phone
"Thanks mum" Zoe went onto facetime and pressed his contact .
"Here goes nothing" She thought to herself and then his face appeared on the screen.........
