It was the first day back at work for joe and dianne. The first day back at school as they were teachers. Dianne taught dance and joe taught drama so they had to share the performing arts office and thats where they got to know eachother and become a couple.
However...they had been together 5 months but then the whole country went into lockdown to stop the spread of a virus which meant they couldnt see eachother but today as the kids were back at school they could see eachother. They didn't know if they could come into contact with eachother though, they hadn't been able to see one another and all they wanted to do was just to hug eachother.
Walking into their office, dianne carefully opened the door seeing joe already sat at his desk which had been separated from hers.
"Joeyyyyyyyy"
Diannes smiled grew bigger as she saw him turn his chair around and smile at her.
"Hey beautiful"
He smiled back
"I missed you"
Joe added
"I missed you too. I really want to hug you and just give you the biggest kiss ever but we csnt can we"
Dianne just didn't like speaking about it. She could see him but couldn't give him a hug.
"You can. I dont care if it's the rules or not, I haven't seen you in six months, so come here"
He opened his arms and diannes heart filled with happiness as she walked over to him, sitting on his lap. They out their arms around eachother giving eachother the biggest hug ever.
"You're so warm"
Dianne whispred raising her head. She looked into Joe's big blue eyes, the eyes she had only stared into over facetime for the past 6 months. Softly they pressed their lips together sharing a gentle bur passionate kiss before they separated.
"Why have you got to be so beautiful?"
Joe smiled making dianne giggle.
"I don't know. You've got lipstick all over your mouth"
She laughed at him wiping the lipstick off with her thumb.
"Do you want to come round mine tonight? Stay?"
Joe asked
"Yeah....that would be really nice. Thanks jospeh"
She smiled

"Welcome back dotty"
Joe said opening his apartment door. Dianne walked in vividly remembering everything about Joe's apartment.
"Its the exact same. That's cute "
She said
"Yeah but theres a few differences. Look around"
Joe told her pointing in the direction of the living room. It took her a good few seconds to realise.
"Awwww, you put the pictures up"
Her heart melted. On the wall there was a collage of pictures of them from the first 5 months. Because they didnt have any from lockdown as they couldn't see eachother. It was crazy to just think that they had been together 11 months but had only spent 5 months physically together.
"Its cute isnt it"
Joe said
"Yeah I love it"
She said and joe wrspped his arm around her as they walked over to the sofa
"You know these past few months have been thinking about how much you mean to me. Because we haven't seen eachother in so long I've actually realised how much I love you and want you to he around me."
He said as they sat down still with their arms around eachother.
"And it's going to be a year since we got together in like three weeks ao I kinda wanted to ask you if maybe you'd like to move in?"
He asked her nervously
"You want me to move in with you"
She said
"Yeah I really do"
"Of course I'll move in with you, lil cutie"
She smiled pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. She felt so safe because now she was at home. Joe was her home.
A bit of a shorter one. Its very random but this is the best idea my mind could give me.
