She looked at herself in the mirror while she calmed herself down. And reapplied her lipstick. She dialed the Reception number and Litha quickly picked up

Zama:  Hey Litha I'm really sorry about earlier please forgive me.

Litha: It's alright Miss we all have bad days. So how can I help?

Zama: Is he still there?

Litha: Yes Miss he won't go away. I tried to...

Zama: Hey it's okay show him in. (She fixed herself getting ready to deal with him)

He entered and she got all the time to scan him with her eyes from head to toe. Without any emotions showing on her face. Elam was a grown man still dark tall and handsome he was wearing a suit that showed off his broad shoulders.

Zama: You may take a seat.

Elam: Wow this place is amazing...

Zama: If we going to talk. I have some simple rules here.

He smiled showing off his dimples and his strong jaw and his perfect teeth. He was curious about these rules she was about to come up with. He couldn't help but stare at her, he was really amused and proud of how she became. He was really worried about how she turned out.

Elam: Ok let's hear it.

Zama: No smiling. No compliments. Straight to the point, I don't have the whole day.

Elam: Wow! Okay. I apologise for that. How are you Zama?

Zama: Don't patronise me! you came all way to ask me about my health. If I say I'm sick what are you gonna do? Are you a doctor now? So get to the point what the hell do you want from me?

Elam: Well I wasn't really asking about your like your health, I was just asking in general, but to answer your question. Yes, I am a doctor and I came for you I want you.

Zama: I see you got jokes I mean lame jokes. What can I do for you Mr?

Elam: I would like to apologise first for abandoning you. It was not my intention I know you won't believe me and you have a right to. But I'm really sorry Zama please I know that I cannot change the past but I can make it right...

Zama: Don't you worry. I'm good I forgave you a long time ago. If you came to apologize well you are forgiven. Is there something else?

Elam: Yes there is Zama. I need you.

Zama: You need me? (She laughed very hard) wow, you are truly funny. You are a funny man Mr. Zulu I give you that.

Elam: You think I'm funny? Are you for real? You think that life has been easy on me without you, wondering where you are. What you eat. How is this world treating you? And you get to fucking laugh at me. Or do you see me as a joke? ( He yelled angrily)

Zama: (She stood up and got closer to him and pointed him angrily) Hey you don't get to come in my office and yell at me. You don't owe me anything you have nothing to apologise for. You were nothing to me just a stupid boyfriend (she lied) you were not responsible for me the only people who were responsible for me died a long time ago. Don't come here and act as if you care or you ever cared. Do you hear me? Let it be the last time you raise your voice at me.

Elam: (Elam hurting because of her words. He sniffed trying not to cry he tried to talk but nothing came up the big lamp in his throat couldn't let him so he sat down in defeat and faced down in between his legs.)
I guess I have nothing to say.

The pain Zama felt when he noticed that he was crying from the sound of his voice. She couldn't hold the tears anymore she ran to the bathroom and cried. She hated that she was crying over him she was crying for him. Because of the pain, she saw in his eyes the tears of joy at the same time.
She heard a soft knock on her bathroom door and she opened it after she pulled herself together.

Elam: I am sorry I failed. I was young I tried I really did but I failed you. Please don't, don't cry I'm not here to make you cry. Please stop.

She cried more. Elam came close to her and held her tight in his arms. He felt different as if all of a sudden he was safe. He was where he was meant to be. Zama calmed down in his arms. She was relieved she thought that she was happy and doing well in her life she didn't realize that she missed him that much she was just happy that he was alive that's all.

They finally broke the hug after some time. He held her waist close with one arm in the other hand he brushed her cheek softly.

Elam: You are still the most beautiful girl, I mean woman ever in this whole world.

Zama: You are still a smooth and sweet talker.

Elam: (He let out a small laugh) I mean that. Thank you for letting me in, to be honest, I didn't know if you were going to talk to me.

Zama: How about you give me your number I will call so we can talk because I have an appointment in a few minutes. Is that okay, we just gonna catch up

Elam: ( He let out a relieved sigh) yeah I would love that just call anytime. Thank you again.

Zama: It's alright. Have a good afternoon.

Elam:  Can I get a hug again I just can't believe....

Zama: You are pushing it. I hope we are clear that we are nothing but old friends.

Elam: Of course I mean it's been a while we both have our lives now. I'm just happy to see you. Enjoy the rest of the day Miss.

Elam left and Zama tried to continue working as if nothing happened but it wasn't that easy because his cologne was all over her. She was disturbed by Litha reporting that the patients had arrived.
