Rosy was sitting at the piano in glee club, her fingers resting on the shiny black keys, when Mr. Schuester came in with the sheet music for this week's number. She was singing alto this week again, but she didn't mind that much. The music was from West Side Story, "Tonight", and Rosy wasn't very familiar with the musical, but the song seemed nice.

"Excuse me, this isn't the right key." Rachel said and Rosy glanced up at her. She and Rachel hadn't talked much since the whole Dakota Stanely fiasco, but Rosy hadn't minded. Rachel was being a little less irritating nowadays, but Rosy knew that it could only last so long and it seemed like the annoying aspect of her personality was returning this week.

"No, that's actually the right key." Mr. Schue said and Rosy sat up, sensing that something interesting was about to happen.

"But, this is the alto part." Rachel said and Rosy rolled her eyes.

"Yep. Tina's doing the solo." Mr. Schue said and a small, surprised smile crossed Tina's face as she took the sheet music from Mr. Schue.

"Wooh! Go Tina!" Rosy cheered and Tina smiled shyly at her.

"I-I'm sorry. There must be some sort of mix-up. I thought I made it very clear that  anything from West Side Story goes to me." Rachel said and Rosy rolled her eyes again, her annoyance bubbling up inside her. "Maria is my part. Natalie Wood was a Jew, you know. I've had a really deep connection to this role since the age of one."

"Well, I'm trying to shake things up a bit, get us out of our boxes." Mr. Schue said and Rosy smiled. The past few weeks Rachel had been given all the solos, occasionally sharing the spotlight with Finn when there was a duet. Rosy had noticed Kurt and Mercedes and even Santana getting annoyed, it was clear by the looks on their faces, and Rosy had started getting a little annoyed too. Finally there were going to be some changes.

"You're trying to punish me." Rachel said and Rosy sighed, deciding to tune out the rest of the conversation. Rachel was being a drama queen, as usual, and it was getting old. So she didn't get the solo once, she had to get over it. Not every single part was going to go to her, there were other strong singers in glee who deserved the solos too. Rosy wasn't exactly talking about herself, she was thinking more like Mercedes and Santana and Tina who had voices that were much stronger than her own, but Rosy wouldn't exactly complain if Mr. Schue gave her a solo. It hadn't happened yet, but maybe it would soon. Rosy tuned back in when Rachel stormed out of the room and she rolled her eyes again, something she noticed she'd been doing a lot ever since she joined glee club.

"Congratulations, Tina." Mr. Schue said, a tired smile on his face. "This is going well."

"Yeah, congrats. Rachel is just being a drama queen, you deserve this solo." Rosy said and Tina smiled at her again.

"Thanks." She said quietly, tucking the sheet music into her bag. Rosy noticed the nervous look on her face and glanced down at the piano.

"I can help you practice for it if you want. If you give me a day or so to learn the piano part then maybe we could meet in the auditorium and practice it." Rosy offered and Tina nodded, a brighter smile on her face this time.

Cheerios practice had been pretty uneventful the past couple of weeks. It was basically the same thing everyday. Coach Sylvester would yell at them, Quinn would do her flips at the top of the pyramid, and Rosy would go home at the end, her whole body aching. Today they were practicing some new cheers outdoors on the football field, unsupervised since Coach Sylvester was in her office, brainstorming new ideas for routines. Rosy was standing near Quinn, Santana, and Brittany, close enough so that she didn't look like a loner, but still far enough so that she wasn't a part of their conversation.
