Sam found Rosy with her head tilted back as she stared up at the buildings that made up Time Square. She had gotten her hotdog ten minutes ago but then she had turned from the cart and caught sight of all the billboards and suddenly she couldn't look away, she had to read every single one of them.

"Whatcha doing?" Sam asked, coming up behind her.

"They have 'Mamma Mia' on Broadway. 'Mamma Mia'. AKA my favorite musical of all time. I think I might pass out." Rosy said, feeling a little light-headed at the thought and Sam laughed before going to stand beside her and smoothly wrapping an arm around her waist, steadying her.

"Don't worry, I've got you," Sam promised and Rosy let out a breathless laugh, still not looking away from the billboards.

"I can't believe we're in New York. There are so many lights and sounds and can you smell that? The smell of New York?" Rosy asked, breathing in deep.

"I'm pretty sure that's just some homeless guy's piss," Sam said, sniffing the air as well and Rosy wrinkled her nose in disgust.

"No, not that smell, I'm talking about the smell of New York. The smell of new opportunities and adventures waiting to happen. It excites me, yet terrifies me all at the same time." Rosy said, tilting her head slightly as she watched the crowds of people make their way through Times Square.

"That was very poetic," Sam said and Rosy smiled, not taking her eyes off the people.

"Thank you very much. I think I love it. I really do, I think I love it." Rosy decided, nodding her head.

"You think or you know?" Sam asked and the tone of his voice made Rosy turn to look at him finally, and she had a feeling that he wasn't asking about the city. She was suddenly aware of how dry her mouth felt and how close they were standing, his arm still around her waist.

"I think...I, um, I think my hotdog is getting cold. We should probably get back to the others." Rosy said, gently slipping out of his arms and walking back over to their friends sitting on the steps, missing the disappointed look on Sam's face. She plopped down on the cold stone steps beside Mike, who smirked at her as she dug into her hotdog.

"Was I right or was I right?" Mike asked, eyebrows raised.

What are you talking about?" Rosy asked, stealing a napkin from him to wipe her mouth.

"It's May, isn't it?" Mike said and Rosy remembered how months ago he had predicted that she would figure out her feelings for Sam in May.

"Oh shut up," Rosy said, rolling her eyes when Mike just grinned, before taking another bite of her hotdog.

Rosy was sitting in the hotel room with the others, resting her back against Puck's shoulder and doodling on her notepad where she was supposed to be writing lyrics for their original songs, but no one was actually working. Mr. Schue had left half an hour ago and all they had done was sit around, a few games of hangman popping up here and there. The only ones who really seemed to be writing were Finn, Rachel, and Brittany, who had been scribbling on her notepad furiously for the past ten minutes. The blonde finally looked up from her work before reaching over and gently poking Rosy with her pencil to get her attention.

"Hey, Rosy, can you look over the lyrics I've written so far?" Brittany asked quietly, holding out her notepad and Rosy nodded.

"Sure, Britt," Rosy said, taking the paper from her. She looked down at it, expecting a song about unicorns or Santana or something, but her eyes widened when she read the lyrics. I've got you in the palm of my hand, wanna put something hot in you, so hot that you can't stand. Gonna take you to my lips, empty out every last drop, so thirsty for what's in you baby that I can't stop. However, as Rosy continued to read the lyrics, she realized that Brittany was talking about a cup and not...anything else. She finally looked up at the blonde again, who had a hopeful look on her face, and bit her lip, wondering how to share her feedback as kindly as she could.
