Rosy was treading water in the middle of the lake and she laughed as she watched Finn grab Rachel around the waist and jump off the pier into the water. Her laughter was cut off when she felt a hand on her ankle and she was pulled underwater. The hand released her and she surfaced, spitting out lake water and she turned to see a grinning Sam behind her.
"You are such an ass!" Rosy said, shoving him lightly, but she was laughing as she pushed wet hair out of her face.
"Come on, I wanna show you something," Sam said and Rosy only had a second to draw in a quick breath before he was pulling her under again. She shut her eyes tightly so she wouldn't get any water in them and although she couldn't see where they were going, she trusted Sam not to lead her into one of the legs of the dock. When they came up for air and Rosy wiped the lake water from her eyes, she saw that they were behind the other pier.
"What did you want to show me-" Sam cut her off by sealing his lips against her own and Rosy kissed him back, threading her fingers into the wet, blond hair at the nape of his neck. She pulled away after a few seconds and looked over her shoulder.
"Sam! They could've seen us!" Rosy said, referring to Finn, Rachel, Kurt, and Blaine, who had also come to the lake with them.
"Oh please, they're probably doing the same thing," Sam said, rolling his eyes, and Rosy bit her lip, although she knew that he was probably right. Finn and Rachel had already had two makeout sessions since they arrived at the lake and Kurt had been eyeing a shirtless Blaine with a certain look in his eyes. That still didn't calm the slightly panicked feeling rising in her. The feeling disappeared when she turned back to Sam.
He had developed a slight tan over the summer and some of the bright blonde hair-dye he had applied at the beginning of the year was starting to fade. He had pushed the hair off his forehead and it was now sticking up all over the place and Rosy just wanted to run her hands through it. She wasn't sure if she wanted to look at him forever or kiss him forever and the idea scared her. She came to the decision that kissing him was probably better at that moment since they didn't have many chances to do it nowadays since they were spending more time with their friends.
He was looking at her expectantly, eyebrows raised, lips quirked in a small smile, and she rolled her eyes. He already knew her answer, he could read her so easily and it was infuriating because she couldn't read him half as well. She let out a frustrated sigh as if she was only giving in because he wanted her to, before leaning forward, letting their noses bump against each other slightly.
"You're lucky I'm so nice to you," Rosy said, letting her arms rest on his broad shoulders.
"Oh yeah, you're definitely kissing me right now just because you're nice." Sam teased, setting his hands on her waist and pulling her closer so she could wrap her legs around him.
"Just shut up and kiss me already." Rosy breathed and Sam started to laugh but she cut him off by pressing her lips against his.

Rosy and Luke walked into the Lima Bean, hand in hand, and Rosy brightened when she saw Blaine standing in line and she pulled Luke over to him.
"Hi, Gel-brain," Rosy said when they came up behind him and Blaine turned to face them, rolling his eyes at Rosy.
"Hi, Shortstack," Blaine said and Rosy grinned at the nickname.
"What type of drink are you getting? Hot? Iced? I would recommend ice to douse out the fire when you guys crash and burn this weekend." Rosy said and both boys laughed at her pathetic attempt at trash talk.
