"Where were you last night?"
Joy looked up from her notebook and saw Yeri looking at strangely. She tilted her head and shrugged. "With Sehun. We were shopping for an upcoming party and then went home," she replied. "What happened?"
"Nothing." Yeri shrugged. "I heard your parents were pairing you up with Jungkook," she inquired, taking a seat beside her and Joy sighed, nodding her head.
"But I'm not interested." She closed her notebook and glanced at Taehyung who was joking with Jimin and Suga about something.
"Why? Do you have someone in mind?" Her question made Joy frown as she bit her lower lip and glanced at Yeri in confusion.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked but her friend did not give anything away and sighed, instead.
"Nothing," Yeri mumbled. "You're just asking for my help a lot these days. I can't even count on my fingers how many times you've asked me to lie to Sehun about your location."
Joy swallowed hard and looked away. She cursed herself for not thinking about any excuse for her requests to her friend. She has been staying with Taehyung for most of the nights and whenever she does that, she has asked Yeri to help her cover up. She should have known Yeri was going to ask about it today or tomorrow.
"Mom and dad are home now." She bit her lip and glanced at her friend. "You know how upsetting it could be when they're fighting. So I kind of..." she trailed off letting her friend finish her excuse.
"But then where do you go?" Yeri further inquired. "I mean if you do not come to me.. then where?"
Joy furrowed her brows. "Are we playing 20 questions?" she huffed, trying to avoid her friend's intense gaze.
"Just curious." Yeri shrugged. "I mean it feels like you've been hiding something from me."
Joy scoffed. "No. I'm not," she said, defensively. "And, I don't know why you're behaving like that, but it's strange."
Yeri snorted. "I'm not behaving strangely. I'm angry at you for hiding things from me." She looked at Joy. "Do you want me to ask Sehun if he knows something?"
