"Jin Oppa, you can't break up your friendship like that."

Joy yelled on top of her lungs as she banged the door louder. She knew Jin was inside the house alone as she had seen Mr and Mrs Kim leaving the house a few minutes ago. She couldn't understand why he won't talk to her? She wanted everything to be well between them.

She didn't want a family rivalry to come between Chanyeol and Jin. Banging the door louder, she tried again. "Oppa, it's Joy. You Care about us. Jebal. Don't shut us out like this." she begged.

Lightning struck and rain started pouring hard. "I'm going to stand in the rain till you open the door. I'm not leaving," she deadpanned and turned around to walk in the rain.

The door of the house opened as Jin stepped out on the porch. "Joy, stop this madness. Go home," he yelled over the rain but she shook her head and wrapped her arms around her as her teeth clattered in cold.

"You can't leave us like this. Chanyeol has been crying for days now." Her lips quivered as she stared at him. "You need to hear him out. We didn't do anything," she told him.

"Joy, you're going to catch a cold," Jin grumbled and walked into the rain for her. "Come with me." He grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the house but she halted her steps. "Joy?"

"We did not do anything." She took her hand back and sat on her knees in front of him. "Please don't do this to Chanyeol Oppa. He's your friend." She lowered her head as her body shook.

"Joy." He sighed and ran a hand through his wet hair as he kneeled in front of her. "There are things you don't know. He is my best friend but... I can't be with you guys." He tucked her hair back. "It's over."

"No. It's not," she cried out and held his hand. "Haraboji (grandpa) did not do anything. You're misunderstanding. Why would he harm your family?" she sobbed and his face hardened.

'Because he couldn't see his daughter having an affair with someone else' Jin wanted to reply but didn't. Park's siblings were blinded with family love and he couldn't bland them. He pressed his lips in a thin line and pulled her up. "Things can't go the way they were." He kissed her forehead and stepped back.
