[Inner's POV]

It's been two weeks since I've dumped Thanksgiven and for good this time. It's just about May's month end. Reign has honestly been there. Although I dislike shoulders to cry on because really.. They tend to have an end goal with you after you're done crying on them. Yeah.. These shoulders are opportunists and traitors. But either way, I make sure to give myself a shoulder to cry on. I don't want unnecessary relations just because of a shoulder I had to cry on.

I've been having weird visions and dreams unfolding in these past two weeks. All of them have an end goal: Marriage. "I mean, who in their right mind is in high school, eighteen years old, just got out of a relationship, still pursuing God and thinks about getting married?" I ask myself. Meaning, I try my level best not to think of anything relating to love life before I sleep because I might end up dreaming of my ex and I back together. Which in reality.. Is never happening. Oh🤦🏼.. Never happening AGAIN.

But still.. Every where I go, it's all about weddings, marriage, true love, husbands and wives. Really, if I had been truly confident in my relationship with God, I'd say these are signs and wonders. But who's to say, because I'm not even sure it's from God. Heck.. I'm not even sure who my parents and friends are. But one thing is for sure: Everything Reign tells me is what I hear day in and day out. Most probably dream of too. We've been going out for the past two weeks, well only four days since we can only meet on weekends. Mostly Saturdays and Sundays.

My academics are coming along well too. Everything seems to be finally looking up and I don't know why. I do but I don't understand why. I mean, I'm supposed to be a wreck especially from the beak up (Whoever said the dumped are broken, the one who dumps isn't.. Told a straight a lie. The pain of dumping and being dumped is the same. It's pain. Unless, of course you were already cheating.. Now. That's what makes a difference. Of course I wasn't cheating.) but somehow I don't feel the pain of the break up.

I've actually been happy from that Sunday on wards. Excuse the times where Thanksgiven tried to "lure me back" to him. I really say lure cause I can't be won. I'm not a prize to be won. Even if I were, you can't win the same prize more than twice. Welcome to earth. (1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.) By this I know that where there's confusion there's destruction. So I cannot afford to be confused.

I mean, I have a Matric certificate to obtain, with good marks I might add. A God to worship and I mean one of the Bible, future to look forward to. So I have no time for an ex throwing a pity party. Nah fam.. I'm so done attending such parties. Two years and eight months is way too long. And enough about that.. I'm going to be telling you about how I spent the last two weeks in complete bliss.

Okay. Reign and I have been going out right.. Well not like a date or something but yeah. I still recall the first phone call that caused all this. And it was Friday after school as he continued to walk me home over the phone.

Reign: "Happy, how are you?" He said with amusement in his voice.
Me: "Hey.. Uhh- I'm good thanks and yourself?" I couldn't decipher why was he all jolly.
Reign: "Never been better. What time does school end tomorrow?" He asked with the same happy tone.
Me: "Twelve o'clock. Why?" I ask with furrowed brows because he's never asked before.
Reign: "Alright. I'm just asking. And also making a conversation that's all." He said but I had a gut feeling that he was lying but I excused it.
Me: "O-okay. Uhm listen I've got to go now. Mom sent me else where so I'm there now and I can't exactly walk in and deliver the message same time while I'm on my phone." I said.
Reign: "Happy, it's okay. Thanks for telling me." He replied, his tone nowhere near disappointment. It was weird alright.
Me: "Uhh, okay cool. See you on Sunday." I said.
Reign: "Sunday it is Princess." With those words, he hung up.
