[Inner's POV]

I'm currently at school. It's a Wednesday, June the 15th. Honestly, this week is a bit lax mainly due to tomorrow's holiday. Of course, Friday is as good as a holiday because we have one on Thursday so basically for this week, today is the last day. Happy knows about my tomorrow's plans with Reign and she's been going on and on about them. It's almost like it's a date or sumthin but it's not. She's been very curious about me and Reign and because today we're kind of free.. We're going to gossip about me.

It's already break time and Lord knows I need strength for this. I love my friend, she wants me to be happy but she sometimes just.. Well just wishes for things to happen. Honestly, I can't describe how she sometimes gets. I'm like her to her too but it's all good. "Bestie we're going to the back right?" She asks me. She knows I only have her as a friend and our classmates don't really like me but it's fine. "No babe. The front will do. Pretty please?" I ask her. And she agrees. Then, the front porch it is.

Bestie: "So.. Come on girl. Spill the beans." She says to me, getting straight to the point.
Me: "Not so fast babe. Ask me and I'll tell you." I say to her. Well, she knows it's my favorite game. She despises it for the fact that it's like 21 questions but loves it because it has an oath where you tell only the truth.
Bestie: "We're not forgetting the oath then." She says grinning. "Sow.. Tell me about tomorrow's agenda and the past two weeks." She starts. Very eager for me to respond I tell you.
Me: Sighs. "Well babe, tomorrow we're planning to go to a park, have a Tell It All Day. So basically we're going to say all the saints and devils of our past and present too. For the past two weeks, he's been tutoring me with literature and assisting with Econ and EBUS. Phone calls yeah, daily verses, weekly word, revelations, testimonies have all been up." I tell my best friend.
Bestie: "Yasss girl💃🏼💃🏼😝😝. I see the way you're blushing right now. Someone is on cloud nine. Head over heels in love with Man Of God." She straightens herself when she says the last three words.

Me: "No babe. It's not like that. Tell me more about you babe." I say, changing the topic.
Bestie: "Me's good. But I'm not the center of the topic so forget it." She says putting her hand up. "So, do you like him?" She asks wiggling her eye brows.
Me: I blush and look down. "No, I don't. I don't like him hun." I say to Happy. She gives me a stern look.
Bestie: "Ha!" She says clapping her hands. "You're not a very good liar. Tomorrow you should tell him that. A little birdie told me that my very own best friend had been going on dates with a certain Hot looking guy. Just admit that part babe." she presses on.
Me: "Happy.. I haven't been going on dates with him. We were studying, not on dates. Besides I'm-" I soon got cut off.

Soft: "Yass girl. Tell us. Who's the man fine that picks you up after Saturday classes, the one you've been going on dates with, huh. Spill the beans." Soft says. Well, her name is humility but we call her Soft so yeah. Wherever Soft is, rest assured that our girl classmates are with her too. So right now, I have a whole dozen plus squad of my girl classmates looking for answers from me.
Me: "Soft please. You've got it all wrong." I say to her with pleading eyes so she can drop the topic.
Stella: "Uh-huh! My sister once said her colleague bought a gold necklace, heart shaped. The guy said it was for someone special. My sister asked him and the guy said it's confidential. Until she saw you guys at a restaurant. Well, more than once to be exact. Spill the beans girrl." She said. All the other girls ate their snacks and chorused "Spill the beans Inner." I face palme myself knowing very well this.. Is truly something I won't be getting out of.

Happy: "Well.. Inner dearest has a very fine man at her disposal. He's tan skinned, well Inner's exact color. He's a combo of Pharrell Williams, Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Drake. He's a man of Gaad. He's like a prophet. He's been buying her presents, airtime, calling and texting her non stop. He walks her home on weekends. They've also been going out on luncheons too." She says while making a clicking sound with her mouth as if she's eating something delicious.
Me: "Happy!!" I say completely in disbelief of what she just said.
Classmates: 😳😱😁😁😝😝💃🏼💃🏼😍😍👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤑🤑.. That is literally how they look. They're even dancing.
Stella: "So, when the next salary?" She asks me. "There's no such thing." I tell her.
Happy: "Well girl.. It's official. Inner has joined the salary cutting club but won't admit it." She says squealing and clapping her hands. I'm beyond mad and embarrassed at this point.
Soft: "Girlings, make sure you don't eat tomorrow before you leave. Don't waste food. My baby daddy doesn't take me out as often as you go out on dates. So, use this time you have wisely. YOLO✌🏼" She says to me. Meanwhile my classmates are still dancing and some are clapping for me like I won a trophy.

Me: "Will you guys please stop. I'm not dating anyone, geez!" Just as I said those words, I saw Thanksgiven pass by. You could never guess what Mary (Another classmate) does next.
Mary: "Woohoo!💃🏼😝💃🏼😝 Inner is officially a salary cutter. Luncheons every weekend, Bae is monied, sweet, romantic and a HAWT ♨️♨️ Man Of Gaad." She says yelling, dancing and very much bragging.
Classmates: "Go Inner, go Inner, go Inner, go Inner" They sing twerking with their behinds facing me. I face palm myself once more. I'm beyond embarrassed. As for Happy.. I'll get her.
Me: "Y'all are so childish." I say annoyed.
Classmates: "Whatever girll.. You gat a man." They chorused as if they all were siblings. I slouch my shoulders and decide to get lost in my thoughts.

[Thanksgiven's POV]

I miss Inner. I really wanna go back to her and start afresh. This would be the sixth time we get back together if she agrees to take me back. I've been hearing rumors about her and some church guy. Honestly it freaked me out the first time I heard that. She always wanted a husband material. I can change for her. I asked Sassy about the fact if she heard of seen anything on WhatsApp but she just asked if I thought Inner would wait for me. That really broke my heart.

It can only mean she's been cheating on me with the dude. There's no way all of a sudden she's with someone without her having cheated on me. She was. She has. And had been. But I want her back. She's mine and I'll win her back. It's break time and the last time I checked, I saw her and Happy conversing like always. I went to the washrooms to do my business then decided to go to her and ask to walk her home. To my dismay, as I neared the front porch of her class, she was surrounded by her classmates.

I just knew then and there that there was some gossip involved. As I made my way towards the group, I could see Happy talking, she seemed way too excited, squealing and clapping her hands in excitement. Then Soft spoke, she looked like she was addressing Inner, on whatever it was they were gossiping about. As I neared them, Inner was talking and she was mad. I could tell by her standing up and raising her hands just on par to her ears. I couldn't tell what she was saying, but what I heard made my heart stop for a moment.

Flashback
"I'm not dating anyone, geez!" She said as I passed. Then, that hideous stinky skinny brat called Mary noticed my presence and said something that shattered my heart. "Woohoo!💃🏼😝💃🏼😝 Inner is officially a salary cutter. Luncheons every weekend, Bae is monied, sweet, romantic and a HAWT ♨️♨️ Man Of Gaad." She said very much out loud for me to hear. Then what her classmates did, left my eyes blurred with tears."Go Inner, go Inner, go Inner, go Inner" they twerked at her showing that they were happy for her. My heart broke into a million pieces.

How could she do this to me? To us and all that we had? The memories. I was still going to approach her but that just shut my hopes of ever getting her back. I just can't believe her. I thought to myself while walking to my class, broken, hurt and pissed all at once.
