[Inner's POV]

Good morning dearest Father. Thank You for today's grace. And thank You for our Savior Jesus, amen. I prayed in my half sleepy self and suddenly I jolted awake. Oh My God! It's Easter Friday. We're having an all night crusade kind of like event, where we'll be watching the enactment of the life of our Lord and Savior. I'm so excited for tonight.. Well, way more than I'm excited for the service in two and a half hours' time. I said to myself sighing and feeling somewhat guilty for my train of thoughts.

Tonight's going to be lit, but what's tonight without this morning? I asked myself, shrugging. Well, better prepare yourself for church kingdom heir. I said to myself as I started preparing for church. It takes a good hour and fifteen minutes to prepare myself, excluding eating breakfast which takes about twenty minutes max. I'm all set and ready for church.

Arriving at church, the usual happens, but not really cause I'm not serving now. I'm serving tonight at the crusade, but since there won't be a choir nor the band singing there, I'll be assisting with ushering since most people are not here at home or are just unavailable. As part of the congregation right now in church, I make my way to the chairs, sit myself down and wait for the service to start.

In due time, it eventually starts with praise and worship. The sermon, announcements and or works, then the service is out. Our sermon was based on the life Jesus lived. More especially before He was crucified.

Matthew 16:21-28
[21]From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead.
[22]But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. “Heaven forbid, Lord,” he said. “This will never happen to you!”
[23]Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”
[24]Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.
[25]If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
[26]And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
[27]For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.
[28]And I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”

(A/N.. Honestly at our church, we don't really celebrate Jesus's death. We do acknowledge it but we mainly celebrate His resurrection. So please, bear with me on the dull-like Easter Friday message, although God's Word is never dull. Thanks😘)

Church finally got out. Now, all we have to do is head home, eat, sleep and prepare for tonight.
As the evening came, I prepared for the crusade and made my way to the park. Yes, park. Or else why would we do it around the four walls of bricks only with just Christians? We needed others to join in with us too.

I made my way there, got everything set up. I still couldn't hold my excitement. I helped people get seated, explained to strangers and passerbies why we were there, invited them and all that. Until I saw a group of boys from my current class and previous classes. Of course me being myself, popular and bubbly I approached them.

I really didn't give it a thought that they were all boys, late at night and all that jazz. I just saw people I knew. So, I talked to them about Easter, our event and why we were there. Of course, I got playful scolds from them, teases here and there but I didn't mind because honestly.. There aren't people who know best how should Christians live than non-Christians, so whatever. I left them telling them of my duties and them being the kind of guys they were, promised to come and yeah right.. We all knew better. I left them with a wave of goodbye and headed back to our huddle.

[Reign's POV]

I arrived at the venue, well the destination. I noticed a few people helping with the set up and I joined in. I immediately saw Happiness and her friend Happiness helping out. I couldn't believe that the now choir girl and conductor is really doing the heavy lifting. And tonight, she seems to be back on her old ministry, so much passion.

On the helping out part, I really couldn't believe that the girl who weighs about 50 kgs, and is about 150.8 cm was really lifting a speaker just about half her body size from the Pastor's house to the nearby park.. In heels that is. She's a beast. I mean her petite figure, with munchkin sized hands is actually being a beast right now. It's like she's the beauty and the beast herself.. Ahh.. Yes. A Princess. That's what she is. A very hands-on one I might add.

Continuing with the preparations, I had to ask her to help me out with the password as I forgot where I put the scribbled paper. She came and assisted me then left. She continued getting the congregants seated, offering them coffee and assisting wherever she possibly could. She then kept on approaching passersbies and invited them. Mostly I would've liked to think they agreed just to get free coffee, but some actually stayed for the movie.

She then approached a large group of high school boys. One didn't need to graduate at a University nor College to know that the boys were drunk. I wondered how could a princess walk directly into the lion's den with such bravery. I observed closely, feeling the need to protect her. I didn't realize that my fists were clenched until one guy we were working with held my shoulders to tell me we needed to go back and get extra chairs.

I said I would be behind him, but I happened to be stuck to the floor, rooted to the grass. She was hysterically laughing with the boys, slapping their teenage shoulders here, there and all that. I didn't understand why I suddenly felt angry at that sight. She wasn't and isn't mine. She had and still has a boyfriend for all I know. She's a keeper for all I know. Then why tarnish that imagine in only under a few minutes? I asked myself walking away from the not-so-eye-friendly-scene that was before me, in hopes of protecting my eyes from utter pain.

It almost seemed like she was doing all that to get attention. I said to myself. Whose, I didn't and still don't know. But hey.. Who am I kidding.. She's someone else's girlfriend. She'll probably get married to her high school sweetheart but yet.. She's just a teenager filled with the same peer mindsets from school. She hasn't lived a day after graduation in high school.. She hasn't. She's still immature in some ways. I know she is.

The movie.. Passion of Christ began. I asked to her to sit besides me seeing that all people were ushered well but she sat for exactly a minute and left. I texted her on WhatsApp and asked her to come back. She simply told me that her mom was there and she couldn't. She said she's also busy with her duty for Christ, of which truly speaking, she was. I understood both reasons and let the matter go.

To also think that I have her on my WhatsApp contacts and we never spoke besides me asking her password or her asking if I found what I was looking for.. It amazed me how this girl kept the boundaries clean and clear. She showcased her boyfriend very often and wasn't afraid to do so. Although I couldn't help but feel the hurt she had been through. Beyond that bubbly mask, she was broken. I just knew it. How? Don't ask me. I just do and this feeling is unshakable.

The movie ended around nine in the evening and we helped move all the equipment back and went our separate ways. We have Sunday morning and night as a repeat of today. So we're looking forward to that too.
