"So you mean that that statue of liberty means something about their being different from the vipers themselves? I don't get it Duri."

Tinignan ko naman ng seryoso si Ki. In my peripheral view, kinokontrol ni Abby ang drone at hinahanap sila Charlie sa loob ng bahay. We are still here in the secret room while me making an argument against Ki about this statue of liberty.

"I remembered before when I caught Marcus killing people. I saw that he had a picture of this statue Ki, I saw it with my own eyes. At ngayon napagtagpi-tagpi ko na na si Marcus and Charlie, they did not join the vipers because they wanted to join, but because of a reason that they cannot utter it to anyone even me. And that Lupin did not know about this statue even this room."

Napakunot noo naman siya.

"Paano mo nasabi na hindi niya alam ang parte ng bahay na to? He was the one who build it."

Napalingo naman ako.

"It was Marcus and Charlie who made it. It just that they let the vipers made this as their HQ."

"So that statue means freedom and coup de'tat."

Napatango naman ako. Bakit Charlie at Marcus? Kung sinabi niyo lang sana sa akin ang lahat, I will not hate you for the reason that I thought it was the truth.

"Pero bakit nila ginawa 'yong mga nakaharap natin na mga krimen? I know it was not because Lupin told them to do it, I know it was their choice."

Tinignan ko naman siya ng masama.

"Hindi mo maintindihan Ki, naranasan mo na bang gumawa ng isang bagay kahit hindi mo gusto? That you have been forced to do it because they were holding your neck? That's their situation. And that's their dilemma."

Napalingo naman siya.

"Maybe I will believe that they have been forced by Lupin, pero alam ko Duri na ginusto rin ni Marcus at Charlie na pumatay."

"Ano ba ang gusto mong iparating?" naiinis kong bulong sa kanya.

"Just accept that they are no longer the Charlie and Marcus you have known. They are our enemies now Duri, itatak mo iyan sa isip mo. Abby, did you already find them?"

Napasipa naman ako sa sahig.

"I found them in the last part of this house, and they have the computer." tugon ni Abby kaya agad akong lumapit sa kanya.

Tinignan ko ng maigi ang nasa screen na galing sa kuha ng drone. Nasa isang malaking space sila Marcus, Charlie, Lupin at dalawang lalaki na sa tingin ko kasing-edad lang ni Ki. The house looks like a small outside, pero kung papasukin mo malaki pala.

Parang kinakalawang na rin ang ibang gamit na nasa loob at tanging ang pader lamang ang parang bago dahil sa kulay nito na parang bago lang ipininta.

That place, that room. It was the cell. Diyan ako kinulong noon. Pero bakit hindi na ito gaya noon na masikip?

"Iris is coming to get Savannah."

Nanlaki naman ang aking mata dahil sa narinig. Iris.

"You know that this cathedral took 632 years of construction?"

"I love roses. Wanna some?"
