Pov Jason

"Who was the girl you were chasing out of the club?" Dad questioned me curiously. I frown at him and shake my head, not wanting to talk about it. "Jason, she must be pretty special. A woman who runs away from you doesn't happen that often right?" He wiggles with his grey eyebrows. "Dad, she's nothing." I sigh, returning back to paper work.

I feel dad smiling without even looking at me. "So, how's business doing?" He questioned me curiously. "Very good actually, I've been thinking about expanding. Buying more luxurious cars and limo's, hiring ten drivers are on my list for this month." I inform him. "That's great son, I came here to talk with you about something." His tone turning serious again.

I look up at him, expecting him to carry on. "I'm retiring very soon now, and you know I've a difficult time choosing the right person to lead the company. He needs to be a born leader, someone who knows the business and the employees as the clientele." He informs me softly.

I frown at him. "I think you would be perfect for the company as their new leader." He explains me seriously. I sigh, I know my dad wants me for the job, but I want to expand my own company. I took all the effort in my little company who's growing fast. I'm happy with what I had accomplished on my own. I loved being an escort from time to time, but the dark world eats from you. No matter how strong you are, wearing a mask all the time has been taking it's toll on me.

All those years wearing a chield around you, playing someone else with each and every client has been hard. I wanted to work as an escort for a few years, because it pays very good. It gave me the money I needed to start my own company. My father cleared his throat impatiently. "So?" He questioned me with his brows up.

"I don't know dad, can I think about it for a few days. This is a huge deal dad. I need to think this through first now I've my own business." I explain him carefully. "I get it son, it's a lot of devotion and responsibility to take for a young man, but I know you can succeed. Your brother isn't ready for this. I hope you'll help him out when I'm not here anymore." He said on a sad tone.

"Of course, dad. I promise." I gave him a small smile. "How did the conversation go with that man in the hospital? Will he stay quiet about everything?" He questioned me. "Yes, I took care of it." I explain him calmly. A certain brunette swirming in my thoughts. "Okay, thank you for taking care of your brother." Dad pats on my shoulder. "It's fine dad. He will always be my brother, but he needs to grow up. He can't act like this a second time. He could have murdered someone with his fucking drugs." I scrape my neck in frustration.

"I know, I'm going to talk about it with him. He needs to know his position and the rules if he wants to stay at Black's Corporation." Dad sighs, clearly not ready to talk with Enrico about this. "If you can wait until tommorow, I can join you." I explain him patiently. "No, you've done enough. This is something a father needs to discuss with his son. Are you free tonight?" Dad asked me hesitantly.

"No, I have a client tonight." I inform him. "Why?" I asked him curiously. "Oh nothing, it's been a long time we went to dinner together. Maybe you can talk a little more about the beautiful brunette." He smiles warmly at me. I chuckle at his request. "You're not going to let this go huh?" I grin at him. "No Jason, you know I'm stubborn just like yourself. I just want to tell you, love is the most precious thing in life. I loved your mom with my whole heart. I've spend the best days of my life with her and my sons. I know you don't want a relationship with a job like this, but that's why I want you to take over the company. You can do whatever you want. If you only want to lead that's fine. You have sacrificed enough for the company. You're thirty years old Jason, it's time you're giving me a grandchild." He informs me seriously.

I laugh a little at his outburst. "Where's this coming from dad?" I chuckle. "You know I don't have to live very long. The disease is a slow killer, you know that." He sighs. "Dad your medication stabilized your muscle disease. I know you can't run marathon's anymore, but you know a Black doesn't give up that easily." I explain him. I lightly pat him on his shoulder and slide on my seat again. "I'll see you tommorow Jason. Have a good night." Dad says in the doorway and I start working on my paper work.

Dad has Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy. It's a disease whereof his muscles weaken. People who have this disease are 90% going to die from a heart death. That's why dad every two months needs to go to the hospital. I hope Enrico will be calm during the conversation. Dad can't afford all the fuss right now. His body isn't strong anymore, and we need to be cautious about it.

I look at the clock, it's already 6am. I need to get ready for my client. I put on my coat and locked the door of my office. I walk through the hallway when I heard someone crying. The door of my dad's office standing wide open. I frown and quickly make my way to his door. Abruptly, I stand still in the doorway, Enrico's sitting on the ground with his hands in front of his face. Dad's laying uncontious beside him. I ran across the room, letting myself fall on my knees beside dad. I look for a pulse, a breath, but I couldn't find anything.

Quickly, I began to ventilate him, giving a heart massage afterwards. "What the fuck Enrico call 911!" I shout at him. "He's dead Jason." His calm, cold demeanor giving me goosebumps. "Call 911 or you're going to be the one laying uncontious!" I yell at him. Silently, he pulls his phone out of his pocket and calls the ambulance.

After three hours I was back home. Defeat and devastation rolling in big tears out of my eyes. He's gone. How can he be gone? One minute he was talking with me and the other minute he's dead. I can't believe this. He was all I've got.

He was my rock, my great example in life, and now he's gone for good.
