POV Jason
I'm sitting in my sofa. My thoughts flashing back to Rose. When I saw her the other day on the parking lot, I was happy to see her. I was shocked that she already knew about my dad. She felt genuinely sorry for me. I would lie if it didn't do anything with my cold heart. She was so beautiful in her blue blouse and long, black skirt. I watched her in the alley until she left. It's not safe for her when Enrico's still missing.
That's why I've made a meeting with Johnny a private detective, who knew my father very well. While I was standing in the dark alley waiting for Johnny to end his call several thoughts came swirling in my mind. What if Enrico hurts her? What if his threats were genuine?
The last time I spoke him, he threatened me and mentioned Chris and Rose in the conversation. We ruined his life, but the funniest part is he did it too himself. He was the one drugging Chris without his knowledge. He was the one putting drugs in my fathers drink. He never thought I would find out what he did. After I came from the hospital where I had left my dead father behind, I called him because he was already gone.
Enrico's behaviour is very unstable now, and I need to be careful in the proces. He will pay for what he has done. I don't care he's my brother. The day he had drugged my father he died for me as well. Johnny couldn't find him neither, but he will be searching him for me. I have called two bodyguards that will protect Chris and Rose until we locate him.
I stand up and walk to my large window. People were shouting and laughing on the streets. Cars speeding beside them. This is my life. I live in the night, darkness my solid companion. Suddenly my phone rang. I walk towards my sofa to pick up my phone.
"Black," I greet the man on the other line. "Mister Black, we've got a problem." One of the bodyguards informs me quickly. "What is it?" I question him impatiently. "Someone threw a stone through the window of Chris Plum's house. Miss Rose is here too. We've lost the car while chasing him."
"How could you let that happen!" I yell at him. "I'm sorry sir, it happened so fast." Steve explained me. "Keep on searching, I'm going to Plum's his house." I disconnect the call and made my way to my black Maseratti.
I arrived in ten minutes at Chris his place. Rose her car was also been parked beside the house. I quickly make my way to the front door and bang on it. After a few seconds, Chris pokes his head carefully outside the door. "Open the door Plum." I snap agitated. He quickly opens the door to reveal Rose in the hallway.
"Are you okay?" I ask while approaching her. "Yes, luckily we were sitting in the living room. He smashed the window from the bedroom." She explains me rapidly, gesturing for me to follow her. Arriving at Chris his bedroom, Rose showed me the large stone and a little note. "You need to read this." She hands me the note with a nervous expression on her face. I unlock my gaze from hers and start reading.
I sigh, pinching the bridge from my nose. That fucking bastard. "Damnit," I hiss in a whisper. "Why is he doing this Jason?" Rose questioned me silently. "I'm sorry Rose. I don't know what's wrong with him. Maybe it's the drugs or something else, but he's unstable and very dangerous. You two need to stay away from him." I inform her, looking to the note in my hand while crushing it into my palm.
"Maybe it's time to involve the police." Chris tells hesitantly. "No!" I scowl at him. "You two are going to live at my place for a while, until we find him." I order them with an authorative voice. Chris starts laughing at my proposal. "I'm not staying with you. My practice needs me." He informs me more seriously. "That suits yourself." I growl at him.
"Chris, this isn't the time for acting like a hero!" Rose hiss. "No Rose, I'm not leaving my house and practice." Chris explained her irritated. "Goddamnit Chris, stop with your stupid behaviour now!" Rose yells at him, storming out of the room. Chris looks at me with a frown. "You need to get her into safety Jason. If she doesn't want to you'll need to force her. I can't loose her in my life." Chris sighs. "I need some fresh air I'll be right back." He informs me while striding towards the back door.
I know I need to keep her safe no matter what. She will be hating me for what I'm about to do, but she needs to be safe. I walk passed the kitchen to find her when two gun shots alarmed my nerves. I quickly ran outside to find Chris laying on the porch. "Chris?" I questioned him, trying to stop the bleeding from his wounded chest. "Please safe her." He murmurs, the words coming out from his mouth in parts while couching.
"Chris no!" Rose startled me. She fell on her knees beside me, crying her eyes out. "I love you." Chris mouths his last words before closing his eyes and taking one final last breath. "Nooooo, noooo!" Rose cries. I pulled her into my arms. She starts punching on my chest with her small hands. "This is all your fault! I hate youuuu!" She yells in my chest. I kept her locked in my arms until she calmed down.
Two cars stopped in front of the house, my bodyguards running towards us. I gently let Rose sitting on the grass before walking to my man. A fuming anger rising from me within my body. If my eyes could burn, I would have burned them down that moment. "Where the hell were you two!" I shout in there faces, one of them stepping two steps away from me, the other didn't dare to look me in the eye. "Sir, we had lost him, so we were searching him, like you had requested us." He explained me.
"You dare to question my judgement!" I yell back at him. "You were with two bodyguards, one of you needed to stay put in case he would have returned. Guess what he returned!" I shouted at them. "We are sorry sir, you're right." The other one says softly. "Call an ambulance." I tell them with a scowl, turning on my heels. "Oh and you two are fired!" I yell, without looking backwards.
I kneel before Rose, who was out of the world at the moment. I gently stroke her wet cheek. "Rose?" I call her by her name, hoping to get a reaction from her. Neither if she shouts at me, punches me would be great right now, but she still isn't speaking nor giving a flinch of emotion.
"Rose, we need to go." I tell her quitely, trying to not disturb her even more. Her head snaps up and she glares at me. "I will never go with you out of free will." She whisper yells at me with a angry expression. "I know Rose, that's why you're not going to like this." Before she could react, I putted the injection into her upper arm. She fell almost directly in sleep.
"I'm sorry Rose," I whisper while carrying her into my car.
