Barry was going to create a portal to enter the speed-force, despite the fact that he should be conserving his speed as much as possible. Why didn't the speed-force tell him about what was happening with Savitar?

Before Barry could run to the speed-force, he began feeling a headache. He screamed in pain, the pain slowly making its way down from his head to the rest of his body as he fell to his knees.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" He screamed, falling from his knees, laying unconscious on the ground.

Barry found himself in a hospital, next to his mom who was lying on a bed.

"Mom?" He asked.

"Speed-force." She corrected.

"Are you dying already?" Barry asked, wondering why this was happening so quickly.

"Yes. You know about Savitar." The entity said.

"What did he do?" Barry asked.

"He became a god." The speed-force sighed. "Shortly after we sent you back to Earth he arrived. We attacked him, the full force of the speed-force with all our power. Our legion of speedsters and time wraiths were no match for him. Then I appeared in front of him and we fought for years before he killed me. What you see is just a remnant of the speed-force."

"Will he lose his speed too as you are dying?" Barry asked.

"No. Savitar absorbed our essence with the philosophers stone. He stole life and speed from us." The speed-force said.

"How does a man kill the speed-force?" Barry muttered.

"He's no man. Savitar is now a god, the god of motion." The speed-force said.

"But how do we deal with three threats at the same time? The anti-matter wave, the reverse-flash, and now Savitar." Barry said.

"Savitar won't attack until the time is right. He knows things. Savitar knows that you were here, and that you must unite all Earths. He will wait until the Earth's are all one before making his move. He may not even make his move for generations, as his lifetime was extended immensely when he stole our essence." The speed-force said.

"And is there anything else I should know before you die?" Barry asked.

"You can't beat these threats." The speed-force said.

"Oh gee, exactly the confidence boost I need." Barry said.

"No. You need a team, look at this." The speed-force said, showing Barry an image in which millions of creatures were assembled in an army, led by the reverse-flash and a weird looking purple guy.

"I know." Barry said, leaving the speed-force.

"You need to be able to let others die if you want the world to survive this." The speed-force said, making Barry turn back to face it.

"Sacrifice?" Barry asked.

"Mar Novu will explain it all, the negative force is coming." The speed-force said, before vanishing, leaving Barry to wake up in the med-bay at STAR Labs.

"Twice in one day, are you trying to give us heart attacks?" Kara joked, hugging Barry.

"What happened?" Barry asked.

"We found you passed out on the floor and after we hooked you up to the electrocardiogram, your heart wasn't beating. What happened?" Cisco asked.

"It's gone." Barry said, making Max gasp, while everyone else had clueless faces on their faces.

"What's gone?" Kara asked.

"The speed-force, my powers. First the negative force injured it, but Savitar killed it." Barry said.

"You have to explain more." Oliver said.

"Sorry." Barry said, before explaining everything except for the sacrifice thing that the speed-force said.

"So what do we do now?" Felicity asked.

"Unite the multiverse to make a team, almost die, get a pep talk, and whoop some ass." Barry joked.

"That is actually surprisingly accurate." Oliver said.

"Barry." Kara said.

"What?" Barry asked.

"Your leaving something out."  Kara said.

"Fine. Before I left, the speed-force said I had to be ready to let you guys die." Barry said.

"So one of us dies." Cisco said.

"No! Not while I can do anything about it." Barry said.

"Barry you already died twice today. Don't make it 3. Ever." Clark said.

"We should get back home." Kara said.

"Yeah, we should." Barry said.
