Chapter 46 - Something negative

"What's happening?" Winn asked.

"He's fading out of existence." Kara said.

"Something like this happened to the Cisco from Earth-1. We basically found the guy who killed my mom and locked him up, but when we captured him, he never did what he does, creating a paradox that was killing Cisco. The only thing is, nothing happened that could have created a paradox like that." Barry said.

"Wait a minute. His vibe energy is an extension of him in a way, and so he's connected to the multiverse. So what if -" Kara began.

"The negative force. It's starting. Gear up Kara, I think it's time." Barry said.

"T-time for what, sorry?" Winn said, chasing after Barry and Kara who were walking away.

Barry looked at Winn, not knowing if it would be the last time he saw him. "The end."

"The monitor said we had to unite the multiverse. How can we do that without Cisco's energy?" Kara asked.

"People." Barry muttered. "What did he mean by people?" 

"I don't know. Why do you think the merger didn't work?" Kara asked.

"The multiverse is out of sync. We relied on Cisco's energy alone, but I think we need a darker more negative energy to do this now." Barry said.

"The speed-force has a multiversal energy right? And Savitar absorbed the speed-force energy, but he has all of these dark emotions too. What if we call Savitar?" Kara asked.

"That might work, but how can we ever find Savitar? He could be on any of the remaining 52 Earths, and we, well we can't open any breaches." Barry said.

As if on cue, the news caught Barry and Kara's eye. In the red sky was a projection of Barry's old flash lightning symbol.

"It's worth checking out." Barry said.

"I'll come with you."

"Wait, what if we trick him into helping us?" Barry asked.

Earth 38 - On top of the NCPD

"Running is so much better than flying." Barry said with an uneasy feeling in his stomach.

"Well hello, Ms. Danvers, Mr. Allen. Oh you didn't think that Savitar was going to be helping you out did you? Oh no, he's actually helping me. See, finally I will have the final say, the final punch, the final everything in our eternal conflict." The man in the yellow suit said.

"What's your plan, Thawne." Barry snarled, nocking an arrow.

"Oh, you should put that away. The real fight is yet to come. My plan? Don't worry Barry, I won't kill you. No, no, that wouldn't do, would it? Not after all these years. Not after all this waiting. I won't be killing you, not directly. She will." The Reverse-Flash said, pointing at Kara, "Cisco will, Superman will, even his kids will." 

"Go to hell!" Barry shouted, shooting arrow after arrow at Thawne.

"Oh I've been there, and I've come back with a purpose. You will suffer Barry. You will break. But what difference will it make? I remember the history books I studied in middle school. The Flash was supposed to be the paragon of love. But see, when I showed Zoom how to steal the Flash of Earth-3's speed, I changed the future completely. You and Iris were going to get your happy ending, you know?" Thawne continued, dodging the arrows with ease.

"You killed Barry's family." Kara said, with anger etched into her voice, as her heat vision began to fire up. 

"No, not yet at least. But what difference will I even make. See, even after I changed the future, when I went back home, there was no mention of a Danvers-Allen. Iris was the one made for Barry. Iris was his soulmate. You? Your just a bad copy." Thawne said.

Kara began to focus on her breath, like Barry taught her. She had to keep her cool if she was going to be able to carry out the plan.

Barry and Kara both began to attack Thawne, making him dodge their attacks quickly.

"You missed." Thawne smirked.

"I don't think we did." Barry said, as a portal began to open up next to Thawne.

"Wh- You may have tricked me, but I have an army, you at best have a team of superpowered beings that can't work together." Thawne said, before running away in a flash of dark red lightning.

"Do you think it worked?" Kara asked.

"I hope it did."
