Chapter Seventeen

Dean is sitting on his bed reading through to lore books while Sam is searching the internet. Liddy is on the floor with her two stuff animals. Dean looks over at her right as she makes her dragon attack the moose and pretends to make a quiet 'ahh' sound. Dean tries not to loud at the fact Sam's moose was getting its ass kicked.

It doesn't take long for her to get bored though so she gets up and goes up to dean. She grabs his jacket and pulls on it "d....d!" Dean smirks down at her "yes mini me?" She looks over at Sam then back at him "what doing?" She tilts her head sideways up at him. This look kills him every damn time.

He scoops her up and puts her on his lap facing the book in front of him "well me and Sammy are trying to figure out stuff about the monster." He watch's her closely like always to see if she shows any fear, but all he see's is her thinking about it. He's pretty sure he little brain doesn't fully understand it all though.

"We make monster go away?" Dean smiles "yeah Bub. We're gonna make the monster go away." He loves how she tries to include herself in little ways like this but he still refuses think about the future. He doesn't want her to ever have to fight these things. Him and Sam is one thing. But his baby sister deserves the world. He wants her to have dreams.

He kisses her forhead as she leans over to look at the book and pretends like she's reading it even though she can't read yet. Sam looks at them and smirks a bit before getting back to work.

They are all quiet for a while before Sam speaks up catching both dean and liddy's attention. "So every religion and every world culture has a concept of demon's and demonic possession right? I mean there's Christian's, native Americans, Hindu, you name it." Dean listens then says "yeah but none of them ever described anything like this." Sam shook his head "well, that's not exactly true. See according to a japenese beliefs, certain demons are behind certain disasters natural and man made. One causes earthquakes, another causes disease."

Dean pulls a face "this one causes plane crashes?" Sam looks back at him and shrugs. Dean takes a breath and stands up, putting Liddy back down. As her brothers start talking about things, liddy sits down with her paper and crayons and tries to draw a pickture of what's in her head, she see's a man with black eyes and it makes her very uncomfortable. Then she draws a man with wings, it's her friend that visits her. She likes him. It takes her a while to finish the foo figures and she feels very proud of herself when she's done.

She gets up and goes up to sam who was sitting at his computer and taps him on the leg, interrupting his conversation with dean. Dean sighs "Bub, what did me and dad say about interrupting when we're working?" Liddy remembers she's ment to wait, she dropped her head sadly making the brothers feel bad.

Sam reaches for her and pulls her onto his knee "what is Bub? Did you want to show me something?" She nods sadly and holds up her drawings to him. In her little head, the picture was of the monster that they are after and her friend who she thinks is an angel is protecting her while they beat the monster and save the day.

Sadly when Sam looks at the picture, his mind can't interpret a 2 and a half year olds drawing. He thinks they are some kind of stick figures. He turns the drawings to dean. Dean smiles "wow mini me. That's an awesome drawing. I'm very proud of you. Why don't you put it in your bag so we can show dad later? Me and Sam need to finish talking about a few things ok?" Liddy nods thinking they understand her drawing since dean said he was proud of her.

When the boys finish talking, deans phone rings. Liddy jumps up from and bag and quickly runs to dean, grabbing onto his leg while he answers the phone. "Hello?" Dean says into the phone as he looks down at Liddy smiling up at him. He goes to smile back at her until he hears jerry on the phone "oh hey jerry." Liddy watch's him closely as he talks as his face changes. She thinks the monster hurt people again. Dean dean motions to Sam to put liddy's shows up and push's her gently towards him.
