Chapter 16: The Carnival (Part 2)

Catra's pov

I walked away from Adora and this time she didn't follow. I was mad at Adora because she lied to me. She lied to me. Why? Did I do something wrong? Maybe she just doesn't like me. Yeah that's probably why. I guess i'll tell her how I feel about her so I can get rejected sooner and so our friendship will end sooner. I walked around the carnival until I found a food booth selling my favorite carnival food. Deep fried Twinkies. I went up to the stand and the guy said "What can I get you". "4 deep fried Twinkies" Okay that will be 11.34". I paid him and waited for about 3 minutes. "CATRA" I walked up to the stand and grabbed my bag that had 4 deep fried Twinkies in it. I was walking around trying to find Sparkles and Bow. And Adora I guess. I saddened at the thought of Adora and how she lied to me for reasons I had yet to understand. I turned around when I heard someone yell my name. "CATRA! HEY CATRA" I saw Sparkles and Bow running towards me. "Hey guys". "Where's Adora?" Bow asked me. "I have no idea," I said as I shrugged my shoulders. "What do you mean you have NO IDEA" Sparkles said as she got closer. "I mean I have no idea." I said. "Well we thought she was with you." Bow said. "She was," I said. "Well where did she go?" Bow asked me. "I don't know we split up after the house of mirrors.'' I told them. "Why?" "because I got mad and stormed off and she didn't follow me." "Why did you get mad?" "Because she lied to me." "About what?" Bow asked. "She got sad and then said she was fine and wouldn't tell me why she got sad at the exact moment I came back" I almost yelled. "Came back" Sparkles asked with a bit of attitude in her voice. "Yeah we were in the house of mirrors and I got ahead of her. I heard her scream and came running back as fast as I could hitting many mirrors as I did, but when I found her, and put my hand on her shoulder she just looked at me sad." I told them while tears threatened to fall. "Well maybe she was sad because she was hurt" Bow said, phrasing it like a question. "No because she didn't have that expression on her face until I said her name." I said recalling the moment. "Oh well maybe you should try to talk to her" Bow said. "I asked her what was wrong and she just said 'Yeah I'm fine' and didn't talk to me until we got out." "so you got mad?" Glimmer asked me. "Yeah I was sad because she lied to me and then she asked if I was okay and I snapped and yelled 'i'm fine right?' and stormed off." "Aww you're not mad at her, you're just sad that she didn't tell you what was wrong."Bow said while he was smiling. Jeez he gets so happy he might as well have sparkles all around him. "Yeah. I just don't understand why she would get sad the moment she hears me." I wanted to cry so bad. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked them. "Not that we know of," Bow said. "Uh YEAH" Sparkles yelled at me. Bow turned his head to look at her. "What?" I asked her. "You ran off and didn't try and comfort her" She said in a very serious tone. "What?" I asked her. "You heard me. Go find Adora and make her happy." Sparkles said. "How can I make her happy if the reason she got sad was because she heard me?" I asked her. "I trust that you'll find a way" Bow said as he put his hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes, giving me confidence. "Okay, I'll do my best," I said as I turned around and started to walk. I could hear them cheering. I looked down and saw the bag. I turned around and walked back to the sparkling annoyance and Bow. "Whats wrong Catra?" Bow asked me. "Nothing" I said as I put my hand in the bag and pulled out two of the deep fried Twinkies. "Just wondering if you wanted one."
