“Yes po lola? How are you feeling?” I asked my grandma Carmina on the phone.
How I missed her. It’s been 6 months that I haven’t seen her. She’s sick and I feel devastated knowing one day she’ll leave us. I hate to think about it. She became our parent for the last 12 years. I’m sure that Zach already know about this. And both my brother and I do anything just for my Lola’s sake. She demanded us both to look for a wife. We can’t argue with her because we both know that it the end we can’t win with her. She’s too smart and have ways to get what she wants. Of course we can’t turn her down because we love her to the bones.
“I’m still alive and kicking, Honey.” She said.
I sighed and close my laptop.
“I miss you lola. Hope you’re here.”
“Yeah I know. Have you read the email I sent to you?”
“Yes, I don’t understand any of those lola.” I said while laughing.
“Talaga naman. You must know that. I know you can handle it and I trust you.” She seriously said.
Napakamot ako sa batok at napakunot.
“Remind me why I am doing this again?” inis kong sabi.
“It’s for the both of you. Help him honey. You still have a care for him right?”
“I don’t.” giit kong sabi. Tawa lang niya ang rinig ko sa kabilang linya.
“Still, he is your brother. I trust you so well honey.”
Napabuntong hinga ako tsaka sinabunutan ang buhok ko. I am pissed and frustrated. Bakit ngayon pa?
“Look Lola---“ naputol ang sasbihin ko nga pangunahan niya ako.
“I know you’ve been contacted by that Old man. Thus, I am asking you this. I let you off on your marriage but this time cooperate with Zach. He needed your help.” Lola
Napatiimbagang ako. How does she know? Damn! I’m going crazy.
“I won’t let you turn your back on your brother just because of that old man and your long lost---“ I cut her.
“Fine. I’m still here in my mom’s house and also Zach is here.” I said sternly.
“Oh, great to hear that. Read that document and talked with Zach about it. Now I have to go it’s my medicine time.” Lola said and hung up the phone.
I then throw the phone across the room and it shudder into pieces.
Now, I’m doomed.

“Zach still have few days in the province. He said he’ll do something first then we’ll proceed to the plan.” I said not looking on them. My eyes fixed in my laptop and continue typing.
“Will this plan gonna work?” Tim
“Of course dude! Pustahan nalang oh.” Alex again with his childish behaviour. Napailing nalang ako habang nagtitipa parin.
“Puro ka pustahan wala ka namang naiambag.” Carl said.
“That’s hurt dude! Meron naman. Pinahiram ko isa sa mga chikababes kong actress. Hahaha” Alex
“Anong chikababes ka dyan! Bestfriend yon ni Ellena!” Tim
“Oo nga. Chicks ko rin yun eh.” Alex.
Napatingala ako saka nakita silang nagkukumpulan sa couch ko habang dinadaganan si Alex.
“Fuck! Yung kamay ko Dude! Golden hands yan.” Alex
“Manahimik ka.” Ceb na hindi na makapagtimpi at binato ang hawak nitong ballpen. Sapul pa sa noo nito Alex nang tumama ito.
Hindi namin maiwasan ang mapatawa. Just this time in the midst of the battle we are facing, we still know how to laugh.
“I’ve got some news.” Tawag pansin ko sa kanila. Umayos naman sila ng upo at seryosong tiningnan ako.

“Bad or good?” Alex
“Its good news I think. I’m not sure.” I said.
“Talagal naman.” Naiinis na sabi ni Alex. Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.
“Lola Carmina just informed me that Jacob will be helping Zach.” I said.
All of them are shocked to hear that news.
“That’s crazy. Right?” Tim
“How come? Eh halos itakwil nga nun si Zach bilang kapatid.” Alex
“Di naman sila magkasundo nun. Anong nakain nung lokong yun?” Ceb
"Shoul we trust the bastard?" Segunda pa ni Tim.
“Isang blackmail lang katapat nun kay Lola Carmina. Knowing her, she has different ways kung pano mapapasunod ang magkapatid.” Carl said while smirking. Seems like he’s enjoying the news.
Napatango naman sila sa sinabi ni Carl.
“Then? Change of plans na ba?” Tim asked.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Carl and both of us shook our heads and we smirk.
“Of course no. it will be fun kung kasama si Jacob. Heck I’m excited about this plan.” Carl.
I agree to him. This will be interesting and fun.
